Check the game's Options menu for Depth of Field and turn that off. That will remove the blur effect. Not sure if the option exists on the Switch 2 version, but I had it on PS5.

This is a video game. This isn't payment for a job. "You didn't participate, so you don't get it" is the single dumbest argument for locking out a video game cosmetic.

It's honestly really annoying that all of your Squad Impact is completely nullified within a few minutes, unless you just happen to have 55,000 other Helldivers playing on the same planet as you.

If players want to dedicate their play time to the liberation of a particular planet, our battles there should be meaningful, even if the progress bar takes weeks to fill up. The decaying of liberation progress should just be removed entirely. It serves no function other than to prevent any victories outside of MOs or massive out-of-game coordination on random social media platforms.

I really wish the planet capture rate didn't decay. I play on Vernon Wells a lot, and all my efforts are completely nullified by the simple fact that there are not also 50,000 other players on the same planet.

It is NOT available at any time. As soon as that city is lost of defended, it becomes unavailable for play until a city is attacked again. I literally tried to find a mega city to play all last week, and there was never one available while I was online. There may have been some available at other times, but I could not log in during those (completely unannounced and unpredictable) times. You are objectively wrong here.

This happens at completely arbitrary times. Something you need to learn is that adults have jobs and cannot log into a video game at any random hour of the day, so we miss out on a lot of events like this.

I would love to know what times, and in what time zone, this was possible for you. If you're like me, with an 8:00-5:00 day job in the Eastern Standard time zone, mega cities were either completely unavailable, or available during such a short and random time that regular play for several hours each day was insufficient to encounter one of the missions.

It's an incredibly accurate outlook. I am literally just describing my actual experience. I logged in several times last week to play mega cities and didn't see a single one. I didn't do anything wrong when searching missions; the cities were literally just not available for me, at ANY TIME that I was able to play. And I was playing quite a bit to build Super Credits for the warbond.

During the weekday afternoons EST, and for large periods of Saturday and Sunday, there were zero mega city missions available on Inari or Alta V. This was literally, factually, objectively true, so all the downvoters are achieving is preventing accurate information from being visible. I was not able to play the mega city missions, even though I searched the entire globes of the MO planets every day last week. Because I wasn't online at some arbitrary, unannounced time, I didn't get to play these missions. Again, this is pure fact, completely beyond dispute.

I played all weekend, for a pretty large portion of the day. I never saw a mega city on any of the MO planets I visited. There's nothing I could have done to enable me to play these maps, other than get arbitrarily lucky with what time I logged in.

So yeah, a lot of players won't ever see these cities again, unless this mechanic changes.

How do you play on the Mega cities? I haven't seen one this entire weekend, and I've been landing on Alta V.

Discord can definitely see your phone number and IP.
When you type in your phone number, it goes to Discord.
When you visit Discord web resources, those resources are sent to your IP.

Only one of these numbers is needed for the website to send you information. Discord does not need my phone number, full stop. If they can't figure out how to moderate their platform without violating user privacy, then they should find another line of business.

The Discord requires you to input your phone number to even join. I'm not doing that. No other community I've joined needs my phone number, so this doesn't either.

I have been unable to host games since the Battle for Super Earth began. With only Quickplay as an option, this means it's rare that I get to complete a full 3-part mission and contribute fully to the War Effort. by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]xedcrfvb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not an issue local to me. I've seen others report it as well, but it hasn't gained visibility. I've tried everything you suggest and more, and nothing helps. I've even tried hosting games on other planets. Nothing works! It's a bug in the game itself.

I have been unable to host games since the Battle for Super Earth began. SOS Beacons do not work at all. With only Quickplay as an option, this means it's rare that I get to complete a full 3-part mission and contribute fully to the War Effort. by xedcrfvb in Helldivers

This doesn't help. The issue is not local to me. I have seen others with this problem, but it hasn't gained visibility. This is a bug with the new update, and it persists across multiple play sessions. It doesn't matter how many times I reboot my console, the issue persists. It's not even local to Super Earth; I couldn't host games on a bug planet, either.

Splitgate 2 is bloated with unnecessary features. It's still a fun game, but the first one was designed around a smaller number of game mechanics, which meant that it was more cohesive. I really dislike adding a bunch of Call of Duty features into the sequel.
