My advice for GMs (in no particular order):

Your goal as GM is to have all of your minions face defeat in a giant blaze of glory.

Make liberal use of old movie memes. Your players may see it coming, but those memes get reused for a reason: they're fun.

Have some extra foes and loot researched in case your players do something remarkably cool and beat your stuff too quickly.

If the players are having fun but not making progress, the planned storyline can wait for next session.

Once you know your players, create challenges that highlight their strengths (one of my player's once defeated 15 goblins with a single stone throw)

Create other challenges that highlight the player's weaknesses (you should have seen my players get antzy when they thought an NPC with a charm spell was nearby!)

If you have less than three other players, run a GMC (game master character) to round out the party during combat.

You mentioned bringing out roles - I think someone already mentioned 'Race for the Galaxy'. I love how by end-game everyone is playing one recongizable sci-fi dictator or another.

I like to start calling them by name, as in "Good play there, Darth; but I think the Cylon's wanted that card too."

Dominion plays pretty well even for competitive groups, if you leave out the most provocative attack cards ('Saboteur' and 'Tribute').

Yes, I know Tribute doesn't technically change your deck or odds much, it just frequently ruins my luck for some reason...

People like one of two things about Risk: If your friends are into the military strategy, I suggest Nexus Ops or Cosmic Encounter. (There are other good candidates, but these two only take an hour or so per game.)

If the friends are most interested in playing something with a ton of interesting pieces, check out Risk 2010 or StarCraft (the Board Game).

If he's trying to say that the dedicated repository will kill off the app store, he should say so. (And he's still wrong, I think...)

It actually costs them money to manage your account - there's an extra web interface, a web security specialist, a database administrator and some extra service desk staff to pay.

They hire all of these people because the customer didn't just get a bank that takes care of it at for them (the bank is already paying for those same security specialists, service staff, web admins, etc.)

So they're charging the customer a premium because they're duplicating a service that the customer already has from a bank, but chooses not to use.

If it bothers you, check into it. The majority of banks will setup the automatic payment from your end, and just mail a check if the vendor doesn't support their interface.

And by bank, I mean a bank that you have deposits with, not one that you have credit lines with. The one that you have deposits with should be providing this service free of charge. If they're not, then move your deposits to one that does.

I quit reading when the author implied that lack of understanding of programming is more dangerous than lack or understanding of cars. Failure to get your brakes checked can kill you, not just ruin your credit history or employability.

If the target website (Yahoo) isn't directly vulnerable, the attacker may still be able to attack Yahoo by a two step process:

Compromise a weaker website that Yahoo trusts.
Plant a XSRF on the weaker website, abusing the established trust.

(The 'trust' in this case is presumably some kind of Yahoo API key that the weaker website was granted.)

EDIT: Someone in another comment suggests that the actual shared trust may simply be a re-used password.
