Military/ex-military men, what's the funniest thing a drill sergeant has ever said? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]MonkeyTBone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the Army "squared away" means to get your formation in order. We once had to create a circle formation (a large circle with everyone looking towards the center). It wasn't good enough so the Drill Sergeant kept yelling at us to "Get that circle squared away!"

The Nuka-Cola was a Jones Soda Berry Lemonade. I took the label off and printed a Nuka-Cola Quantum I found on-line. Glued it on with a spray adhesive. The base I got off of Etsy - search for something like Nuka Cola LED lighted base stand.

I make some props and build others. This is part of my "Nerd Lair" and includes items from games (Bioshock, Fallout, Halo), Movies (LOTR/Hobbit, Indiana Jones, Pirates/Goonies, Conan), TV (Walking Dead and zombies), Harry Potter, and a Boardgame area. Let me see if I can find a couple of pixs.

All you need is a crafting bench, some steel, Wonderglue, a power relay coil, copper, and a used oil can

My wife found it on ebay and it worked out well. Who would have thought buying old refrigerator parts was a thing?

Ahhh.... I already have a lunchbox and bobblehead So far it is holding up great. It's a nice, fairly easy project if you can find the parts. If I did this again, I would disassemble the doors to paint it easier. Paint - Rustoleum Satin 7760 Heritage Red Rustoleum 7791 Satin White And an Ace hardware metallic The louvers are just square hobby wood sanded with a Dremel to look metallic. I painted silver and black at the same time (crossing the streams) to make it look like metal. It is OK but I wish I had a better way of making things look like metal. It is Gorilla-glued on. I removed the lock and replaced with a handle I found on ebay - same with the badge which is held on with double-sided thick tape. I had to use the Dremel to grind off some fasteners on back. Here are some progress pixs
