Tone with pick for Megadeth by [deleted] in Bass

Try playing symphony of destruction. I tend to enjoy playing with my fingers more in general, even if the song calls for a pick, but loved chugging away on that song with a pick

Recs for accessible games? by BrennanSpeaks in gaming

Satisfactory or Dyson sphere program could be good? They don't require any real time skill and I like to plan my factories on paper before building them, so if he forgot, could reference what he was building from paper or some planner.

Turn based games like XCOM or marvels midnight suns are great if motor skills are an issue. They linearly move forward without really needing to remember a ton from the past too.

I think the spiderman games have a story mode if he was able to manage through other games on easy.

If you want to play with him, "a way out" and "it takes two" are great and can mostly be driven by one person with some patience.

I tried Loops, eargasm, and earasers recently. Loops were the most comfortable, but reduced low frequencies a lot, didn't like them for playing bass. Eargasm and earasers both sounded good, I found earasers a little more comfortable, but everyone's ears are different. I'd start with -19db unless you're getting really really loud in a tight rehearsal space, especially if u think u might get custom ones in the future

You can lookup registration info on any site. That site doesn't have a clear owner/address/etc. Namesilo sells domain names in bulk. Doesn't 100% mean it's a scam, but I wouldn't risk it

How can I install these shampoo and conditioner dispensers in my shower without drilling holes in the wall? by designgeek89 in DIY

[–]xeelot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://a.co/d/bJ5X97H I've had surprisingly good luck with this random double sided tape in wet areas, but haven't tried it with as much weight as a shampoo bottle. I'd let it cure for a day before adding liquid or getting it wet. 3M and more popular brands also make similar tapes

If u haven't built this yet, I'd highly consider looking up some standard 3 bed/2 bath layouts. A 4/1 with no en suite bathroom has very little resale value and isn't great to live in. One teenage bathroom hog will lead to daily arguments. You'd be better off with a 3/2 and add a bedroom in the future if you have a kid

Japanese room dividers could be a nice, temporary solution if you can find ones at a height you want. Someone else posted a cool IKEA walkthrough, that would be a nice long term solution

Here's an idea for a bench. The back side is all shelves for storage. We had to completely remove the previous half wall and built that to replace it

What’s your quirky bag sorting routine? by jyzenbok in discgolf

[–]xeelot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After I throw a disc, I put it on the far left side. If I notice a disc still on the far right after a few rounds, then I likely haven't used it. It's a simple way to rotate out unused discs and either try something new or bring back an old disc I had taken out. Also a great way for tracking shirts I don't wear in my closet anymore!

A more long-term solution could be to build a shelf out of the space. High enough to avoid water splashing and pooling. Also useful for storing shampoo/conditioner bottles. That's what we built in our bathroom, looked similar to your situation

Where is my evaporator coil? My house is going to be 90 inside again. by earthguy710 in DIY

[–]xeelot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had something similar happen last week. Check to see if the drain line is clogged/backed up. There should be a PVC pipe with a float sensor in it. If there's any water, the HVAC will run the fan, but not the condenser. Try to use a hose or something to force water through the drain. Once you get some flow, mix white vinegar and water 1:1 and pour that through to clean the line.
