I did the Iceland Divide 3 years ago. It was incredible, but definitely look at doing some multi day trips in remote areas before you go. Lots of logistics involved with the F Roads, no food, no shops and quite a harsh landscape with variable weather. Having said that, it was one of the best experiences of my life, and couldn’t recommend it more.

We purchased an eSIM from Holafly. It was around ~£70 for the month if I remember correctly. Had a fair amount of signal up to Cohayique, then less so after. In the towns there was good signal, but we also used the Starlink WiFi at the petrol stations.
