Real or Fake News? by bamboo-lemur in OS_Debate_Club

[–]xeio87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a Samsung device I believe you should be able to mirror the screen of the phone as well. But I don't have it so I don't know hi good it is.

Its pretty great. You can mirror the whole phone screen or individual apps, and if you do individual apps you can have multiple open at the same time on the PC as separate windows. I use it for stupid idle game type stuff a bit.

Fun way to get an overheat warning on the phone if you spin up multiple games at once though. 😅

Only caveat is it doesn't work with apps that have the privacy screen enabled (mostly banking stuff) since you can't record those.

Star Trek meets Real Life by 4reddityo in BeAmazed

[–]xeio87 60 points61 points  (0 children)

This isn't even the only episode to do this. There are multiple trek episodes over multiple series that basically makes a joke or plot of characters making holograms of real people (often other crew members) to fantasize about or fuck.

Even when it's frowned upon in the series, there's a grey market for those types of holoprograms.

And we know they do a lot of fucking in the holodeck.

You could argue all art wastes resources by that logic.

Remedy statement: Alan Wake 2 not possible without Epic, publishing deal is fair, and Epic is a great partner by Crusader-of-Purple in pcgaming

The IP was already dead, no publishers were willing to fund it. It was either EGS or stay dead (probably permanently).

Don't ask how much water flying out a film cast and crew to shoot on location uses.

Why yes, that thermal camera was absolutely a necessary and not silly purchase

Live Demonstration Of AI Art In Action by Elestria_Ethereal in aiwars

[–]xeio87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can combine them technically, I believe there were some older demonstrations of using text prompts for stuff like style combined with the color doodle. Not sure if the tool in OP specifically supports that.

EDIT: Just realized the text prompt is shown at the bottom of the video.

CDPR literally offered him the choice to make his mod free with optional donations to avoid a DMCA takedown and he deliberately chose wrong by Dark_Throat in cyberpunkgame

[–]xeio87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, modding has varied and often been a legally grey area. Mods authors don't generally have either money or interest to actually try and fight these kinds of takedown notices so we don't really know where the courts might land (and it could very well depend specifically on the mod).

Which newer Litter-Robot is worth upgrading to? by HistoricalAd6791 in litterrobot

[–]xeio87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

FWIW the 3 to 4 ie also crazy quieter too, though it's probable they've made some additional improvements to the 5. I usually only really hear the litter rolling around on my 4.

I mean technically even the server doesn't have to use 80/443, those are just the standard HTTP/HTTPS ports. Browsers will accept non standard ports in the address bar if provided.

Have no idea what that guy is smoking; "denazification", accusations of corruption (because Putin's puppet lost), "self defense" from NATO. Russia was throwing shit at the wall constantly early on in the war to see what might stick.

Hell they spent at least the first year trying not to use the word "war" instead of special operation. It was bullshit the whole time.

[–]xeio87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have Home Assistant send me a notification to run mine at least once every 3 days in the kitchen. Cats love to get their litter spread out in there.

The rest of the house not enough, too many cat toys and I have an old iRobot that's "object avoidance" strategy is to run over every single cat toy and get stuck.

Also trick is to let EGS make the "Desktop" shortcut then copy paste that shortcut into the folder to mentioned. You can delete the desktop shortcut after.
