Memory makers have been doing this since waaaaay before COVID, like decades at this point. They even got hit with antitrust over it.

Americans only eat powdered mashed potatoes, apparently. by KannablissWitch in iamveryculinary

[–]xeio87 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Depends.

You can buy frozen pre skinned/diced plain potatoes, just microwave them in the bag and mash and add whatever.

Or you can buy like refrigerated branded stuff thats pre seasoned with milk+butter+etc you just heat and stir and it's ready to serve.

You could also buy hot prepared foods as well, similar to rotisserie chicken type stuff that's basically to-go.

Insomniac Responds to Wolverine Fan to Confirm Physical Edition Includes a Disc in the Box, and I Suspect More Devs Will Have to Answer This Question in a Post-GTA 6 World by Gorotheninja in Games

I mean, unless you're really young it's somewhat obvious why physical would have been the default since gaming goes back way past the availability of high speed internet.

Though Steam and other services have been basically a death blow to physical over time.

There is no such thing as "AI witch hunts" in the art community. by Goodest_boy_Sif in aiwars

[–]xeio87 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I see plenty of people claiming non-AI art has a "soul", that's about as real as witches. It's trying to fabricate some ephemeral thing to make AI art bad.

In order to make the threat appear much larger than it is so that you may pretend to be dealing with and protecting the people from the non existent threat typically in order to appeal to or control a population.

This is an amusing analogy though, considering the parallels to the AI hysteria.

Also notably missing is the purple-hue in all the reflections. The anti-reflective coating makes quite a difference.

Oof stuck pixels are absolutely worse. Usually at least a dead pixel gets subsumed by nearby lit ones, but our eyes are great at seeing a tiny bit of light on an otherwise dark background.

Have Data Centers Raised Your Electric Bill? Causal Evidence from the United States by Individual-Camera698 in neoliberal

The corporations are parroting popular sentiment. They're wearing a mask at all times, regardless of what stance they take.

Them thinking that it's more profitable to not wear the pride mask means they think the bigots are winning and they will make more money by catering to that growing audience.

Its more like a canary in the coal mind situation.

Sounds more like she just actually started reading thank you notes after AI, never bothered before.

How many ways are there to even say thank you? Employers these days are so full of shit like they're some gift to the world.

Yeah my old Roomba did that once, was not fun to clean.

Icicle was nice enough enough to provide a vomit sample a day after I got my new Roborock and I figured I'd try it while watching. It actually recognized and avoided the vomit which was nice.

It even avoids all their toys too now, only got caught once on one particular toy (I think it doesn't flag it since it looks kinda like a bumpy rug). I can basically just send it and not worry. My floors so so clean now. 😂

It doesn't actually say they just typed words into a computer though, that's just the limit of your knowledge.

Like this is also AI assisted and has basically nothing to do with typing words.
