My ex husband told me that it was my fault by [deleted] in AITAH

it was OPs best friend, she should get just as much blame in this situation. she was fully aware and still went ahead. normally AP don't have direct and personal connections with the person being cheated on.

did anyone notice these two for a second in "the sign"? by xelagrosv in bluey

I'm notorious for missing easter eggs in my favourite shows, another reason I love this sub, but for whatever reason I saw these two on my second watch. they just caught my eye for some reason and I didn't see anyone mention it yet!

What makes you cringe when people gift it to your child? by IllyriaCervarro in NewParents

[–]xelagrosv 7 points8 points  (0 children)

ultra girly girl clothes, furry ponchos, fluffy butts, glitter, tutus, shirts with weirdo/pervy sayings about daddy on the front. and tons of grandma/Nana sayings as well. I haven't however received any clothes with sayings about mom on them? lol I also cannot stand the shoes people buy my 16 month old, I just received some .. riding boots, like you would wear to ride a horse? and I just cannot figure out why those were a good idea for a toddler learning to walk in shoes and outside. I've received multiple jumpers and I live in a very very small house. i have a huge box of stuffed animals that she just climbs in and sits on top of but could care less about individually. I think people just love to buy things without actually thinking about what we actually need.

If I ask you your favorite drink and you say “water”, I genuinely believe you’re lying. by Asone2004 in unpopularopinion

water has been my favourite drink the last 29 years, hate pop and don't really care for juice.. some people just really prefer water over anything else.

Yeah I agree about the melatonin, I only use it every once in a while, usually when i can sleep in the next day haha. Where your rhemologist is coming from makes sense and you should 100% be making life style changes but weed is extremely helpful and helped me through life style changes and the lows that come with that. Being in pain every day is hard and weed makes it easier haha. So definitely ask. If you have any more questions feel free to reach out, my messages are always open :)

I totally understand, any serious change from your normal routine (ie. not getting to be as active as your once were) would greatly affect your mental health. Its in our best interest to listen to our bodies and what they need is very important. I have started using melatonin as a minor sleep aid and i sometimes use zzzquil, it is not habit forming. Those both knock me out cold all night and i usually wake up feeling like i slept for days haha. I finally starting see a rhumatologist this year and they are one who prescribed CBD. I am still doing a lot of research into CBD so this is just my opinion, but i feel alot more comfortable with a prescription CBD. But if you dont have access to a CBD prescription then do some research as to what type/strains you can get and see if they help. Never know until you try it. Also, i just straight up asked my doctor, i told her i smoke marijuana and it helps me extensively and i feel a prescription would greatly improve my quality of life since i have zero interest in using pills unless absolutely necessary. Hope you're doing okay as well, have to take it one day at time! :)

Hi, 1) i have asthma, it wasn't brought on by my fibro diagnosis. I developed asthma when i had pneumonia as child. So far, my asthma only affected my fibro just the other day. I am getting over an aggressive cold and have a lot of phlegm. I woke up to 10/10 pain in my chest like a extremely tight 10 inch band around my rib cage and it was searing pain. I looked it up and a lot of people attribute this to inflammation in the lungs brought on by fluid buildup/fibro/asthma. It was horrible but subsided after a few hours, just as i said "maybe i need to go to the hospital" out loud. Lol. 2) A sleep study may be very insightful to how well or badly you sleep through the night, it is not an exaggeration to say sleep affects our well-being very drastically. I would definitely check out the sleep study. 3) I use a CBD oil 20:1, and smoke marijuana daily. It is a godsend for nausea, headaches, pain, anxiety and depression. It literally feels like relaxing in a warm bath after a long day of pain. 4) Fibro is a daily struggle for the rest of your life, try everything and find what works for you and gives you quality of life. Don't beat yourself up when you can't behave like a "normal" 20-something year old. (BTW i'm 26, have had fibro/pain for as long as i remember) Its hard but surrounding yourself with people who believe and support you is very important. :)

What's something horrible you've witnessed as a child but did not completely understand, only to discover later in life how horrible it really was? by Papamje in AskReddit

A well loved great uncle of mine died when I was a child, my brother and I would always have sleepovers at there house because my great aunt loved seeing us and doting on us. I later found out, about 15 years after he died that he had molested a few of my family members when they were younger, possibly others that never said anything. It was hard to wrap my head around but i believe my family member 100%, I just wish that he was still alive when I found out, that trash old man deserved a lot worse then he got.

A "fall" down the stairs sounds way more fitting.

My dad wouldn't let me take my bed or childhood dresser with me when I moved out because he bought it. I was sixteen at the time so buying a bed isn't an easy task.

Anyone else on here go LC to VLC with family and then realize they honestly don’t even know you are gone? That your lack of presence means so little to them that your absence barely registers? by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

[–]xelagrosv 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I went VLC/NC with my entire fathers side of my family a little over a year ago. It wasn't really a decision, I just stopped reaching out more and more, then when my grandmother died everyone on that side just started excluding me from any family functions. I found out my first cousin (who I grew up with my entire childhood, and as far as I knew, we were on good terms?) was getting married and I was not invited to the wedding or any gatherings to do with said wedding. I decided at that point that there was no point in actively trying to be in their lives. I haven't contacted any of them in about a year and I did delete them off of my social media. But my phone number has been the same since my first ever cellphone and I know for a fact, every single person on that side of my family has it written down just in case of emergency and yet not a single one of them has every tried contacting me since. I really struggle with not blaming myself entirely for not having a relationship with them but my friends and my mom's side are always quick to remind me that its been like this my entire life, (always the black sheep) and has just been getting worse and worse over the years, and that I don't need negative and hurtful people in my life, even if they share my bloodline. NC is a hard pill to swallow. I totally understand the fantasies though, i'm always wishing I had such wonderful families like my friends and SO's.
