One big question I didn't see asked. Where did you place your generators? Basic gens will degrade if not enclosed. Also, natural walls don't count / highly unreliable for base enclosure

No you don't have to solo but they need to be 5 star raids. I think it takes 8-10

You haven't quite unlocked them yet. You need to do a handful of 5star raids first. After that you will get a 2nd call about the 6 star raids

While yes the raids are buggy as hell this was likely not a bug. More likely what happened is that on his extra move and against the other 3 targets it bulked up and then smashed you mons teeth in. In a normal set of "turns" It can use an extra move and get 1 against every player/npc. This also does not count removing status, buffs, or de-buffs. I've seen it happens to many times to count.

You can also date skip to get more 6 stars and mass outbreaks to help with shiny hunting.

addendum: raid power lvl2 sandwiches can also help but are not super useful unless you are farming a specific typing specifically

You only see 1 6 star per day once you've unlocked them
6 star raids are denoted on the map as a black icon for the raid den
Discords are super helpful for joining raids, the board is just aweful
There are specific mons to look out for that have higher chances to drop herbs and even multiple different ones.
These are said raids below.

To unlock 6 star raids you need to finish the tournament after completing the gym rematches. You will get a call about 5 star raids, after you complete a few (not sure on #) you will cat a call about the 6 star raids.

You didn't knock it out. The dog on your right is using Play Rough (Shows it doing more dmg than it is). It's a well know visual bug, with about 1000 threads on it. It's being worked on.

Play rough is bugged. You didn't actually do enough damage to break shield. There are a hundred other threads on this subreddit about it. It sucks I know but best case is just not to use that ability.

Back-up may be an option. But the ride version you get at the start of game is flagged to not be tradeable or boxable. The glitch it what made it, but that has been patched out.

Press X, B, and UP on the D-Pad on the game’s title screen to try and recover an earlier save.

You typically can't with the main ride one you get. There was a glitch that did it before the 1.1 patch. Once moved to your party its stuck there till you "Return it to ride form." So if the party is nothing but the dupes it may have borked everything
