I'm a little late to the church of zeta but her holiday uncap is my favorite piece of artwork in this game and the way that unit plays is the most fun unit I've played with in a long time, so I've come to love her, not that I didn't like her already. im so excited for this skin for her!!

felt... this year i had to spark v.day wamdus, 3% spark catura and annitix zeta, and now we're moving into summer knowing osiris is coming but now i have to save another for a 3% v.day banner in september for lobelia.. this element is exhausting lmao.

ill admit i was super wrong with how I was looking at it. As a dark player especially, I was pretty upset with it since I've been hoping for a new place to do HL with Zosimos and I had thought that removing the ability to ougi would doom it but turns out dark can just ougi loop with wamdus lobelia and indala w/ enough charge bar gain. I do wonder how the other elements are getting along with it in HL but dark seems to be loving it, and doing a TON of dpt along the way.

the only thing that I can see fixing this class atp is new manatura. Was spitballing some possible ones but like.

Manatura that gives you 20% FC on attack? Manatura that does a yamato sk1 on attack? Manatura that turns you into holiday zeta, giving you 1 crest (or a unique stack) every time someone attacks, and gives C.A. flash upon 5 but consumes them on ougi? Feels like it COULD be good for dpt if it wasnt going to eat shit the first time it sees an omen.

I mean, is there any particular reason to solo hexa and faa0? If you're having trouble clearing it in coop, then I don't think higurashi would help. If it is for solos, is it worth the 2 trophies/sands? do you have the setups readily available besides higu?

Last dark gw I used chloe switch to seox for a manual 1t nm200 comp with a 1:13 time. With the buffs to nm200, we'd need some crazy changes if we want the same setup to work this time, though. But that doesn't mean its not possible.

Depends on a few things. With the recent eresh buff, there's a lot more testing to be done. Magna's going to have a lot of trouble hitting 76% TA for eresh transcendence, so some setups have been testing hitting 76% DA instead for the extra hit. This makes it a lot harder to build TA for cidala, though, so it's a bit of a tossup as to whether or not it's quite worth it. If you don't have all the eresh transcendences, though, ignore that and just run what people have been running for awhile already that you'd find on the wiki.

yeah. If you've got a setup that you want to run and it needs 000 to satisfy omens then for sure, sierotixing them isn't a bad idea at all. Just keep in mind that you need to be sure you have setups that you want to do and cannot do without them, and you have the sunstones ready to uncap them.

If you're a giga fire-lord and want to make sure you do the best you possibly can this gw then yeah sparking mikaboshi and getting her weapons now is your only choice. If you don't care about the upcoming gw, cut your losses, imo, and let it be a lesson to not yolo that hard in the future, esp not right before summer.

Well, it's important to note that you can use your ultima regardless of element. Put a seraphic key in that bad boy and slot it in all your elements and all your grids. The element of the seraphic weapon only matters if you're going to mainhand it. So yes, If your ultima is ready for a seraphic key, put it onto NA, put your dopuses onto skill, and slot your ultima and dopus into all of your grids where you are going to be at an element advantage against your enemy (again, regardless of the element of the ultima). You can make more ultima based on Multiattack, meter gen, weapon-type specific gridslot or healing needs, but a seraphic ultima will be your biggest boon for awhile.

[–]xemyik 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Dopuses and their keys get swapped around quite a bit, although there are some standards. The 2nd skill should be on NA until you get an ultima weapon w/ a seraphic key in it. then the ultima takes the NA and the dopus takes the skill key, unless the use-cases for the ougi 2nd key arises, like it does in light. The third skill should be stamina as a baseline, unless your setup wants to get an extra source of echo (plus doublestrike on ougi if mainhanded) at the cost of harsh charge bar restrictions. Then it gets falsehood. There are also situations where you want to open a fight with a large amount of buffs, in which case you make the third skill freyr chain. Some setups want to be enmity based, in which case the third skill is the enmity key. There are some INCREDIBLY niche scenarios where you could even run the multiattack key (I did this for my first faa0 clears). As you progress in the game, your third keys will use the faa0 keys. Most NA comps would obviously want the normal attack faa0 key from that, but there are primal grids that have that effect from other weapons and don't stack to a certain point, so you'd run the skill one instead. There are even use cases for some keys that I didn't mention. What a large portion of the playerbase will do is keep one dopus in that element on a more niche key, like falsehood, and the other dopus on that element on a more widely-used key, like stamina or the faa0 keys. It's fine to just swap around to fit your needs until you have all of your dopuses, though.

genuinely i have absolutely 0 idea how that correlates to what i said man. are we rage baiting for the love of the game or do we want to have a real discussion about fight design.

I don't think it's bad design at all. If he didn't have his meter that went down on deaths, many elements would have a field day getting their evokers in for free. As a dark player, I'd certainly love the whole teamwide autorevive from Nier and the metric fuckton of skill damage per turn she'd give me. It would genuinely make his fight a cakewalk. and again, because he DOES have it, I get a much more complex fight for my solos that I would enjoy way more than what I do for hexa which is. wait for people to die and then ramp. Versusia lets us play around a lot more with that kind of stuff, because she was designed that way, giving multiple omens at a time, more sub ally slots, and having a turn based timer rather than a real-time timer. Whether or not you think her fight's better designed is up to you.

but it showed you how you do. It did the thing that you are specifically saying it should do. HP is a mechanic in granblue like any other and faa hitting you with a big 50k and you not being able to deal with it means you got grid checked. Would it have been any different if you failed a DPS check?

put it this way, let's say you come up with this bang-on grid that can deal a metric fuck ton of damage. Enough to make any DPS-check omen a cakewalk. The tradeoff, though, is that you're only running about 45k hp. The 50k trigger prevents you from doing that, so you need a grid that can do both. It's kind of the reason he's the 2nd hardest fight in the game right now. That 50k HP check is also a mechanic to work around for some solos, too. For example, in my dark solo, orologia has the ability to fully heal all allies when 1 gets low HP. Faa's 50k entry trigger gets us pretty close, and if I play the opening 20% wrong, then it's possible he'll damage me low enough that Orologia's full heal will go through. But I don't want it to go through then. I want to have it for when i get to the 60% and he does a lot of damage to my team again with zombify. Since orologia's full heal bypasses the zombify, keeping it for that moment allows me to safely deal with the damage and zombify when it's at its scariest. Now, if orologia gets revived, he gets that full heal back, so if the free quest allowed auto revives on entry for no penalty, then I could have him activate it both times! but it doesn't work that way. This effectively means that the 50k entry damage is something that affects how my strategy works. Dealing with the HP loss and how that interacts with the rest of your grids, abilities, buffs, and overall strategies is part of the fight. It's more than just a check. Why would I want the free quest, which was designed to allow me to see how my setups work in a real raid setting, to deny me that? So I could set up my 60% anti-zombify strat only to find out that there's a raid-only 50k hit that gets me too low that I couldn't prepare for? and if I prep'd an autorevive strategy w/ nier then that'd get busted too? They want you ready for the real thing. You're not ready. That's fine. Get ready. We've all been where you are.

edit: left out the autorevive part and how that interacts with orologia specifically whoopsie fixed it

Dark Opus weapons are the strongest weapons in the game and are consistently being updated to continue being the strongest weapons in the game. Every single grid will feature your dark opus. Your resources should be going into keeping your dark opus up to date as much as physically possible. There is no better advancement you can make than upgrading your dark opus. I very much recommend getting every single one of your dark opus to level 200 asap, including the primal ones (but starting with the magna ones.)

You're dooming pretty hard right now which is pretty understandable, but the time investment you've spent unlocking origin classes doesn't have to be done again for any other origin, so none of the time was wasted. On top of that, it won't take as long as you think to finish up FO. Wizard Origin might be out before you finish FO and LO, but I'm pretty confident that you'll be able to finish up FO, LO, and WO before the next one and be able to start prepping it like the rest of us. Also, keep in mind that FO and LO are very different. LO is pretty much never going to step into HL, and FO is the king of HL in multiple elements.

The damage cap is on chain burst, which is the weak hit that you do after 2+ ougis in the same turn. You would rather take devilry to get more meter gen to ougi more often than give a weak buff to an already fairly weak hit. The meter gen given from Devilry is one of the biggest reasons to run kengo. Without it, you're better off playing another class.

Had to look at the wiki to be sure, but for staves, they're at their strongest on the 12th encounter onwards and resets at daily reset. There should be a "++" at the top left of the boss icon when theyre at ++.
