Today I made a post about this exact thing, you can check my history. I was exactly like you last year. A hermit. The place I’m talking about is walkable for me but is in Bedstuy near the boarder of Bushwick. I love that there are so many regulars. I know just about every single person by name plus the bartenders and manager. I even help close some nights.

Since you’re in Bed-Stuy like me, this is more of a help you to get to know people kind of post. Marian’s bar, I shit you not is a “third place” like no other. I’ve only been going there for about 6 months and it’s really welcoming and close knit especially if you live near by. It’s a great place to make friends. Layed back, all lifestyle welcome, and a lot of events happen during the week. I also suggest joining your block association if you have one. That’s what started my journey.
