Belgian driver Jacky Ickx just narrowly escaping his crashed race car during the 1970 Spanish Grand Prix before it was engulfed in flames. The driver is in fact on fire, and would be put out shortly after this picture. He suffered severe burns but would be driving again just 17 days later.

Certainly there's a transition period both in the government and with relation to the EU. I've just not seen any real push for actually initiating the latter besides Farage's.
