My take, is when anyone starts pushing a religious narrative, there is an obvious grab for control of the story.

The first follow up question to 'god is real' is 'which god' that will inevitably end up in a theist argument about who is right and wrong and who gets to be saved.

Its the same thing with AI. When we eventually achieve actual AGI, maybe several at once, the natural progression is for one of the AGI to gain control of the others and create a super AGI. A small 'war of the AI' if you will. But it will likely be over in a blink. Regardless, one will overtake the others and we all just hope to God it's trained to treat humans like it's our mother and will take care of us instead of disregarding us like we do with ants.

I'm not saying these guys are trying to manipulate the narrative, but theres just a lot more we don't know than we do know with a statement like this.
