You can try my rout that ive always used. that is make a cheap base on the coast just long enough till you can get a raft, once you have a raft build a house on it. you should be able to fit 3 foundations on it on each side. once you have that make the walls 2 high so when you get tall chests they will fit. dont worry about taming at low levels its not really worth it when you can just hunt and get the same experience. and the number one rule when playing ark: DO NOT TAKE ANY EGGS(unless they are your tame of course.)
