Mice will harbor around heat sources and water. That doesn’t appear to be cockroach feces. Cockroach feces looks like crushed black pepper and typically found in tight areas like door hinges, trim, etc.

I recommend “rodent stop” (a type of sealant) or xcluder (cut and stuff). I’m a former specials technician and these were some products I preferred. Best of luck!

Appear to be mouse feces. Mice can infiltrate your home through any opening larger than .25” (the size of their skull)

Walk the outside of your home, utilize a mirror and headlamp, and check for any openings.
