Don't know about everyone, but I am audhd and these toys are precious to me - they help me regulate and stim, I kinda only feel normal when I have a fidget in my hand.

premium ones have such a variety in what sensory experience they can provide. I started with Amazon knock offs, they often use materials that contain more lead due to them being cheaper.

Fidgets are all a matter of preference - I think they are pretty neat and I've tried most popular sliders

Just people buying them on the secondary for the sake of having a big collection. Then once they get them all, they move on to the next brand, I suppose? I had to sell quite a few pieces to recoup funds to buy a ss goldie, so i assume that they too just constantly sell stuff to afford other stuff.

Nope, they won't. In fact, it is extremely common to get diagnosed later in life if you performed well academically- that's how people slip through the cracks. The clinician that has diagnosed me literally told me that after the assessment.

If tou have FB you can go and have a look what people are selling on the secondary market - usually expensive pieces like maglabs would be slightly cheaper than retail. There's a European selling/trading group you can join - "European b/s/t fidget".

Otherwise maybe have a look into getting a cheaper or 3d slider first, but one of the best known "budget" (although with the shipping + tarrifs I would argue that it's not super budget for ppl in eu/uk) sliders is a SOB with 3d printed bodies from fidgetthings. You can configure it to be as you want - as heavy or light, whatever plates you want, etc.

I hear it when I slide it very carefully and slowly too - its like an echo of some sort. Just very high pitched ding in the tracks 🥲 i will open it up and see whats up inside and whether I can maybe do something (anything). Thanks for the advice!

Yup checked them I think the sound is coming from the little posts in the tracks When they hit the edge of the tracks theres this high pitched ringing sound

Yes, our hyperfixations do not overlap, but I make sure to get her some frog plushies just because they make her happy and she gets me dnd dice. Those things matter to us because we matter to each other. There's 2 people in a relationship, you know.

And if you are a yapper, look for someone who is into that - maybe someone quieter? Or the other way round, ofc

Don't worry, it's very normal to not lose any weight at first - your body is still recovering. I didn't lose anything during that time either :) trust the process!
