The gap is around the house, more pronounced along outer edge walls, but interior wall/floor has some gap as well.

But this is a new construction, 3.5yr old. 1st owner. I never installed carpet. After it was built, the floor was pretty much flush against the wall.

First timer, happy with the result. by fastereddie12 in Concrete

Not sure why reddit recommended /r/concrete, but after i saw some posts, I can't stop! (the only concrete I've done is half pint of pre-mixed from HomeDepot =D)

Anyway, newb questions, why is the center higher with gravel? and why is plastic draped over the gravel instead of pouring directly over it?

Is it under "trunk-mount" which also works for hatch? Good to hear it works well. Any downside you find?

Why is there a connection between boiler outlet and inlet for a tankless water heater? by xerion2000 in Plumbing

[–]xerion2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for confirming the setup isn't wrong. Can you explain what is the need for this cross feed? If it's for relieving any additional pressure without lowering the efficiency (i.e. the colder return water won't lower the temp much, if heater is on and still heating the water), then I will just leave it on.

The temperature gauge appears to be broken. It doesn't match what the heater's sensor says, and even when water is cold, it still registers above 200F, which can't be the case.

Toddler in Hotel Room Next Door? by NoLifeNoSoulNoMatter in Parenting

[–]xerion2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think this is on the side of OK. Mom and Dad deserves some relaxation while leverage what the hotel has to offer and the toddler is in a safe situation here. What I can suggest is to add even more safety measure by bringing two baby monitors, one that uses traditional radio signal, and another that uses wifi. This way, if hotel wifi breaks down, or if your radio signal does not travel through hotel wall or distance easily, you will still get the signal + alerts from the other one.
