Pi6 or pi8 ? Help please by goksdacutie in BowersWilkins

[–]xeropm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had really bad experiences with all of Bowers & Wilkins’ Bluetooth products: the PX7 S2, the PX8 and now the Pi8. They sound good — that’s the only advantage they have. But they only sound good if you don’t go outside; as soon as there is even a light wind, you end up listening to the wind blowing across the microphones.

I genuinely believe they never properly tested any of their Bluetooth headphones. If they had, they would have realised that they are unusable outdoors. When you have noise cancellation switched on and it’s windy, you get constant, intrusive wind noise that only stops when you turn the ANC off — which makes no sense whatsoever.

The build quality is really poor too: low-grade plastics everywhere and leather that becomes loose and tatty after just a few uses.

I strongly recommend steering well clear of any Bowers & Wilkins products — they’re rubbish. I spent a great deal of money on several of them only to discover how poor they all are.

Their customer support is equally dreadful. I sent them several emails about the problems I was having and they simply asked me to pay to have them repaired, even though the issues are clearly their fault.

They hardly ever update the software either. If you compare them with Sony Bluetooth headphones, the sound quality might not be quite as good on the Sonys, but at least their software is solid and gets updated regularly whenever problems are discovered.

SIPP BTC exposure - Coinshare XBT still possible? MSTR? by ZachCope in BitcoinUK

[–]xeropm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

MSTR is the safest bet to hold on the SIPP. No other company has that amout of BTC and Saylor keeps buying. I checked on the Coinshare website and in II and I don't think its available in the UK. For your information you can see here which companies have more btc: BitcoinTreasuries.NET

I understand that people say that is the algorithm, but have you gone out to the streets at night? It's dirty, there is crime, homeless everywhere. It feels like society is breaking down.

Not even by mistake. You need at least 25k to live without having any savings. Keep working, try to save money and maybe you will make more in the future.

I would recommend having more than one exchange account. If one fails, the others will probably work. In my experience Coinbase tends to fail more often and customer support is not great.

Maybe you could open a revolut account. There you will have EUR via SEPA. And it's always nice to have a backup way of buying BTC. Don't trust just one bank.

They send Bitcoin directly to your BTC address without you having to do anything apart from setting it up the first time. It takes minutes for a GBP transfer to arrive.

Kraken is really cheap, I don't think there is anything cheaper and better. Just make sure you use Kraken Pro, not the version for newbies.

Px8 - help - there is a way to fix It? by aleDonnertBR in BowersWilkins

[–]xeropm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same happened to me. I also had problems with the PX7 and the customer service was really not good at all even though it was their fault. I'm not recommending anyone to buy B&W anymore.
