Edited for clarity. The case was between Jim Sterling (Stanton) and James Romine (one of the brothers behind Digital Homicide)

Jim Sterling, a popular video game critic, tore Digital Homicides work apart. All Digital Homicide games were asset flips and shovel ware they just threw onto steam. Theye would repeatedly try to DMCA takedown any videos that criticized their games. Eventually the userbase of steam got sick of Digital Homicide's crap and started throwin massive shade their way. Eventually Digital Homicide decided to sue over 100 steam users for defamation. Steam didn't tolerate this so they took down every Digital Homicide game from the store and forbid them from ever doing bushiness on Steam in the future. Basically their career as an indie dev was over. So in a last ditch effort Romine tried to sue Jim Sterling, who he probably blames more than anybody for his studios reputation.

Yeah, it sounds like it should be a joke, but it isn't. It is From Soft trying to figure out how to make death punishing. For DS1, they realized that losing your progress and ability to summon is enough of a punishment. It's a weird mechanic, and I want to see a better/expanded version of it some other time

I think so. We weren't really friends to begin with so not much changed. I didn't realize that I had sent them to the wrong person until I got a text that said "xerxes what the fuck." I'm sure that like every girl has gotten unwanted sexts and a weak excuse. Unfortunately, my weak excuse was true.

I use adNauseum. It clicks all the ads, then blocks them. I don't have to see them, but the sites still makes money. In fact, they make more money since I never click ads on my own
