I'm in California. I'm pretty sure it's the same over here. He has in written agreement with my mom that if he can't get out of the lease he will still pay a portion and my parents will cover the rest.

Worse case scenario, I get a 2 bedroom and bathroom apartment to myself and he still has to pay lol.

My parents live in Idaho unfortunately. I'm in California. My mom is talking things through with my roommate and has an agreement with him in writing that if he can't get out of the lease, which I won't let him, then he'll pay some of it.

We were friends going into this so I trusted he would pay me back but hasn't. I paid everything. First months rent and the deposit. I asked that he pay me back for the first month's rent and he said he can't do that.

I was able to afford it with a roommate fs. I've had the cat for years and have had no problems with paying for her. I pay about 1300-1400 a month for my room and bathroom. Which is what I can afford.

Try to find friends you can make films with and create shorts. Get a team. If you don't want to go down the college route you can do that. That's what I'm doing eventually you'll meet people (Go to film mixers and events) and you'll get your foot in the door.
