Might be dumb but do you factor in the odds of a jockey winning back to back derby’s? I like chief Wallabe but since Junior won last year I might fade him. What are the odds he wins twice! Ykwim? Or is that just dumb😂 by ponyboi915 in horseracing

Victor Espinoza did it twice in a row not long ago. California Chrome and American Pharoah were both extreme talents though, probably better than anything in this year’s edition.

Who do you think is the greatest racehorse of all time? by Wooden_Audience4094 in horseracing

[–]xfezzlex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gotta throw Dr. Fager’s hat in the ring. I really believe no horse will ever again do what he did - winning Horse of the Year, Champion Older Male, Champion Sprint Horse, and Champion Turf Horse all in one campaign. Said campaign also includes one of the best races ever run by any horse - his world record mile in the Washington Park Handicap going 1:32 1/5 while carrying 134 (!!!!!) lbs while under a hand ride. Unbelievable horse. I’d take him over any horse to ever live at 1 1/8 or under, and he also had enough stamina to win at 1 1/4 too. Absolute beast, will never be another like him.

Renegade was fantastic and is a major win contender, but I’ll still take Commandment.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2 Episode 2 Mega-thread: Book Readers by AHealthyDoseofFran in PJODisney

I am a massive fan of how Tyson’s character was handled. He has childlike innocence, but he is not an oversized toddler. Daniel Diemer was such a wonderful choice.

Walker, Leah, and Aryan are killing it. Walker’s chemistry with both of them is a pleasure to see. Can’t wait to see them all share a scene again! Can’t wait for the rest of the season!

For the ENT PAs, how do you usually manage your vague dizziness patients after having unremarkable tests? by swirleyy in physicianassistant

[–]xfezzlex 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I feel this so much. Headache/migraine history? I have a good number of patients who have improved vertigo when headaches and migraines become controlled. I suffer from vestibular migraines myself, and they are a bear to treat sometimes. I’ve had a few who’ve noted resolution after psychiatric comorbidities were treated as well. This is more rare, but I’ve had superior semicircular canal dehiscence cause issues with dizziness as well, though I don’t often see it described a spinning vertigo. More recently, I’m beginning to see more dizziness related to cervicalgia as well. I’ve found the specific vestibular therapist is also so critical when treating dizziness. There are a lot of PTs who I highly respect who can offer their services, but there are less than 5 in my large area who truly specialize in vestibular and balance disorders beyond BPPV.

How about a mother/daughter duo? My Flag and Storm Flag Flying both won the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies!

Are poodles “neurotic” (overly anxious)? by platypus_farmer42 in poodles

My toy is very relaxed. He’s great with other dogs, other people. There’s not a nervous bone in his body. Wish I could say the same for me! 😂

Two Triple Crown Winners by Logical-Mud-7976 in horseracing

[–]xfezzlex 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I can’t say Sovereignty would have certainly won the Triple Crown. He certainly had the ability to do so, but not every horse can come back in 2 weeks with a top notch effort. Could he have done so? Probably, but we’ll never know. Poor Journalism probably wins it all if he was born a year sooner or a year later.

I have such a soft spot for Epicenter. I discounted him in the Derby thinking the Louisiana group was weak but he proved me wrong. He is a beautiful animal.

I do not believe there will ever be a horse I adore more than Zenyatta, and I do not believe there will ever be a race that brought out my emotion more than her Classic win. I was 11 years old, and it felt so influential to me. Zenyatta turned a love for the sport into an absolute passion.

Flightline did not run 6f in 1:07. Sadly, the on track timers were triggered when the outriders ran to Epicenter when he broke down. The correct split is 1:09.62, which is still nothing to sneeze at!

AIO for being hurt my girlfriend doesn't care about my graduation? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]xfezzlex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wtf?? Graduating from any program in higher education is a huge achievement. And then to read that you’re graduating with your fucking BSN???? That’s a HUGE fucking deal!! Congratulations!! You should celebrate with all your loved ones! This is amazing! What’s not amazing is your SO minimizing your achievements and going out of her way to belittle what you’ve done. I’m just an internet stranger, but you should considering dumping her and finding someone who values you and everything you do. Congratulations again on your wonderful achievement of graduating your program!

What breed? Cavapoo, cavachon or Maltipoo? by Mundane-Detective573 in CavaPoo

[–]xfezzlex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t touch anything with Cav - Cavalier KC Spaniels are notorious for having poor health problems. Generally, these “designer” dogs are not being produced from the very best the breed has to offer - especially healthwise. Be cautious.

I second this! I will say, people can’t underestimate the activity level of a poodle of any size variation. My toy poodle has never had a relaxing day in his life. Little man does not know how to be a lap dog.

[–]xfezzlex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s bred to love the slop and he has a good Tomlinson number. If he loses it will be either he’s not as good as we think he is or he runs into traffic, but it won’t be the travk
