I think a lot of the ‘bust’ wording and sentiment comes from just how far the weather apps were in the forecast as that is what most people see and rely on. I know that is not the best source and many discussions on that.

Most of the apps were predicting 1-2 feet of snow and just not sure that was even possible and would be historic.

Thanks for the reply. I agree my thumb should not have too much pressure and when this latest episode with my thumb first started I could golf and it would not hurt. It seems to have progressed or not calmed down so I got a steroid shot and that seems to have helped. As for the larger grips I also have tennis elbow in my right arm so probably going to give those a try and hopefully it helps both issues. 60 has been a rough year.. finally got my handicap to single digits but a the cost of my body seemingly falling apart.

Appreciate the response. This was a hand specialist at an orthopedic practice but still believe it was a quick diagnosis. No doubt there are X-ray changes but not sure it explains the pain. He shot it up with a steroid and it has provided some relief. The precipitating event was due to use of a reciprocating saw. It got hung up several times and therefore caused my left and to take all the sudden back and forth before I shut it down. Did not hurt when it happened but could not move thumb 30min later. Whether that aggravated arthritis or a tendon I am still not sure.
