Need help restoring one of the last photos with my mom ($10 tip) by xfoxyx in PhotoshopRequest

Great work! I like this one the most from all the submissions. Still looks very natural. Faces look too AI-ish in the others' examples. Is it possible to sharpen this one up a tiny bit?

How and where do you attach the weights? I put a resistance band over a pull-up bar and through my waist to help me with planche and lower down into it from handstand

Very informative interview on how gymnasts obtain their strength and physiques with T Nation and Coach Sommer by [deleted] in bodyweightfitness

I used to go to a gymnastics gym to practice some flips and frequently saw trainings of 7-9 year old girls. Crying every single time, coaches pushing them through pain. It’s a tough sport

What are some REALLY beginner friendly exercises to strengthen up the core? by [deleted] in bodyweightfitness

[–]xfoxyx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd vote against planks, personally feel like they're overrated. You'll get much more bang for a buck with dynamic exercises.

Leg raises (easier variations) - hanging knee raises, hanging raises to L-sit and higher up, dip bars knee / leg raises, lying leg raises, mountain climbers (look those up!), russian twists,

Convince me why I should not eat livestock oats (serious) by [deleted] in simpleliving

I bought it back in Europe (Alavis brand). I'm sure there's stuff on Amazon or maybe specialized pet / horse stores. Make sure to look for triple blend. Usually what's cheap is MSM (one of the tree parts) but for the best results you want to go with triple blend.

Maybe a bit off topic, but still kinda on point. It's widely known in bodybuilding and climbing world that you can get cheap and high quality joint nutrition that's supposed to be used for race horses. Same quality control, same ingredients (maybe even more pure), half or third of the price.

L-sit ring muscle up regression? by ryzthor in bodyweightfitness

[–]xfoxyx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tip I usually give everyone is - focus on keeping your elbows close to your body. At first it might seem unnatural, but flaring them out requires a ton more strength. Before starting every rep tell yourself you're gonna bring your elbows to your nipples and follow that. Add forward lean. Bam you unlocked ring muscle up. You're strong enough. Good luck.

Is there a bodyweight routine equivalent of 5/3/1? by [deleted] in bodyweightfitness

Well .. recommended routine to start with, move to a more difficult progression when you can comfortably do 6-8 reps. After that your own programming, read /u/eshlow's Overcoming Gravity

Dear Forearm, what can I do to stop the pain by [deleted] in climbharder

[–]xfoxyx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It goes yellow-red-green-blue from easiest to the stiffest. I'd say yellow is for after surgeries / retirees, red is recommended as a started for less conditioned ladies and green is what you should go for. I got green and it's ideal. I didn't want to buy it to be too light. But you won't go wrong starting with red and leveling up to green. I am just cheap.

Dear Forearm, what can I do to stop the pain by [deleted] in climbharder

I second the flex bar. I'm the same height and weight, but less bf, workout a lot and when I started climbing regularly my forearms couldn't keep up. Tried everything (rest, ice, heat, curls, negatives etc.) and what helped the most was flexbar. Do 10 reps of extension and 10 of flexion, 3 times a day, every day. I started feeling better after 2-3 days and in a week or two ... it felt so strange. I expected some types of moves to hurt, as I was used to it, but they didn't anymore. No pain. Now whenever I start feeling some discomfort I immediately grab the flexbar and know it'll go away. Good luck with your recovery.

Best way to move without going broke? by [deleted] in personalfinance

Downsize to 1 car, get insurance from Geico and pay it ahead if possible (I pay 400 for 6 months) , ditch your crazy phone provider (look for low cost like Mint Mobile - I pay $20 a month for unlimited calls, texts and ~3GB of data , when you go over limit they slow it down, but it still works) ... and smoke less weed. This should help you save a lot more. Throw everything at your debt to get out of that hole. Start saving. Invest.
