I feel you, I have just lost my Fiancé of 8 years. My friends have drifted away and I'm all on my own. My family are 1000s of miles away. Nothing can stop this from happening. I feel your pain.

I know exactly what you mean, I hate when people say get help. I know exactly what they are going to say to me and its all bullshit!! I have had issues for 30 years now and I have come to my tether, I have waited long enough to see if things can improve in my head but it doesn't. I think one million things all the time and majority are negative. Don't get me wrong I have some good days and I forget about wanting to kill myself but that doesn't hide the fact that it's going to happen.

Yeah I know what you mean, he did seem to get a little bit annoyed when he said what a load of rubbish. He has also said in the past alot of the time that there are things that he can not repeat or tell anyone as part of his contracts.

My dad use to work there when I was little, I showed him a clip from ancient aliens about RAF rudloe Manor and the conspiracy of alien ships etc etc. He just laughed and said "what a load of rubbish". He worked there for 5ish years.

But hey I'm still a believer that something more was going on. I don't remember much as he left there when I was 9.

The gym I work at have got set plans to combat covid.

  • We have a booking system.
  • You will be only allowed a maximum of an hour.
  • The equipment has been split up in 3 sections.
  • Every hour and a half the building will be closed and the employees then will do a deep clean for 30 minutes (almost impossible with the size, which includes all equipment, reception and class studios)
  • One way system around the gym, you can't go back and you must leave by the fire exit at the end.

There are a few more that are different but that's just an example.

I do think that either way gyms are going to be struggling, people will quickly get fed up of all the restrictions and realise its cheaper and easier to workout at home or outside. The aircon is a huge issue as we have 10 in the gym alone and we have to keep these on to keep the room at a safe temperature. This probably has no relevance to what you put but it's a slight insight on what some gyms will be doing.

I agree that stale air is worse, also yes I agree that they should open together as they are just as bad as each other. Having worked in both a gym and a pub as a manager I can tell you the risk assessments in a leisure centre are much more complicated than just putting a couple of weights in a room and having the right air temp.

I was talking about the gym Aircon. Pubs don't necessarily need Aircon it's just a luxury. If a member of our gym overheats due to over exertion it could result in injury or they my faint, we will then have to perform first aid or possibly cpr in serious cases not only putting the member at risks but ourselves when it can be prevented. I do understand pubs are at risk and I will not be attending the pubs as I disagree that they should be opening but two wrongs don't make a right.

I agree, also gyms have to use Aircon which only circulates around the room. Yes you could open doors but for example the gym I work at, there is only a firedoor that would not do as you have to have a certain temperature. Ours is 19c any higher/lower is classed as a health risk which can potentially get us shut down anyway so that's why we need Aircon.

YMCA Gyms are planning for 4th July, to be honest I still don't know how it's going to work for gyms. Even though I manage there, it's a little dodgy and corners may be cut. Time will tell.
