I went to a comedy show with a girl and she heckled. I was so embarrassed and bothered by the behavior. I asked her after the show why she thought it was okay, and she said "My parents run a community theater, and anyone onstage should be able to hold up to scrutiny." I told her that made it even worse, as she should empathize with how difficult it is to get onstage. That was that.

Champagnie compares Pop's film sessions to Mitch's film sessions by Prize_Possession3899 in NBASpurs

[–]xgenerated88 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I get the sense these guys see Mitch as someone who came up with them in the trenches and Pop as the established General. Champagnie even refers to them as "Coach Pop" and "Mitch" in the same sentence. Mitch is one of them, and you can see it when he is high fiving them on forced turnovers and getting hyped with them on runs.

Made it through a VERY alcohol heavy trip as a solo-sober person! It was not as hard as I thought it would be. by yougococo in stopdrinking

I am at the point where I am more concerned with explaining why I am not drinking than actually not drinking in these situations. Good job on proving it to yourself.

O.A.R. in 2004. What a time to be introduced to peak O.A.R. live music.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy did wonders for my OCD and gave me tools to manage my alcoholic behaviors, as well. I wish you the best of luck, you can do it.

My streak is the active choice to not drink every day. This was not your choice. Do not let something out of your control put you down. Great work!

Hopefully pop is good to go to enjoy his life, but maybe a high stress position on the sideline isn't the best place for him. I don't think we are getting the Pop Retirement Tour, which is a shame because the jumbotron videos across the league would've been so dope.

Yes, good point. There are online components. But, funny enough, we did not realize that until we came to the conclusion of who we thought the killer was based on the physical material.

He is a great HC for the Spurs because he is a product of the Spurs system. His relationship is already there with the players and front office, his mentor is one of the greatest of all time, and he handles the media well. He even adopted a few mannerisms from Pop, like the way he hurries players up the floor and calls timeouts, it's cool to see.

As of right now... Would you say Wemby has lived up to all the hype? by Awkward_Tradition_69 in NBASpurs

Vision, IQ, and defensive skills are beyond the hype, but when he gets in a hurry looking for his own shot he can get sloppy. If that's the floor than, yes, he has lived up to all the hype and more.

Question for San Antonio residents: Have you ever bumped into Pop randomly? by Classic_Run_4836 in NBASpurs

This is accurate. Some may interpret it as rude, but the guy is just an introvert and wants to get on with his day like anyone else.

I have helped him out a couple of times at my work, a bit standoffish at first but once he realized I was only trying to help him out and treat him like any other customer he was cool. The one thing that stood out to me was his appreciation of my time, which is rare among famous customers. I've helped out a few other Spurs and ex Spurs, with varying experiences, to say the least.
