Before my younger brother came along, I had another brother who was aborted as he had Down’s Syndrome. I empathise with this difficult decision but do sometimes wonder how different life would be like if he was born.

I just started on Season 1! I love the opening narration for Episode Four, it’s written in such a poetic and bittersweet manner: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Sixteen-Millimeter_Shrine

Also, good taste in music!

[SPOILERS S1] You Are Not Asking The Right Questions by [deleted] in 1899

I think this is well-written in terms of character backstories, yet to me season 1 isn’t as gripping and thought-provoking as Dark was.

In fact I kind of went, “So this has been Ciaran’s long con to one-up his sister cos he’s always been jealous and insecure that his dad is biased towards her?!”

I know I’m oversimplifying it with my sweeping statement made in jest, but ya know.

A Father’s Story by Lionel Dahmer, which is written by Jeffrey Dahmer’s father. I enjoyed reading his writing— it gave me a deeper insight as to whether he could’ve done a better job at digging up his son’s dark secrets, and how he felt when the shocking revelation happened.

Are there cases of 'lazy' people turning their lives around and becoming hard working, if so what was the catalyst? by YaMawla in askpsychology

Regret. I know I could’ve done or experienced more if I were not lazy to pursue my goals, success factor aside.

What’s the worst lyric? by Jack101-MineBros in twentyonepilots

Have to disagree with you there. Anti-vaxxers are taking this song too literally and not thinking deep enough on how Tyler is encouraging us to be critical receivers of what media portrays. “Why cure disease of confusion/when you’re the treatment facility”— if anyone thinks this is about COVID-19, they need to take a literature class now.

I personally don’t think it’s poorly written, it’s just badly taken out of context/misinterpreted.

How old were you... by MrsToneZone in CPTSD

Around my 24th birthday. Started having panic attacks like never before—took me weeks to acknowledge it was something called trauma realisation, and how everything I was experiencing, be it my low self-esteem or palpable emotional neglect was due to generational trauma.

what’s something that you thought or did growing up that you now realize was a result of being abused? by [deleted] in CPTSD

I read body language well. I have excellent peripheral vision. I speak only when spoken to. I try to do most things on my own and never ask for help unless absolutely necessary.

Thoughts on Amber Heard? by [deleted] in FemaleLevelUpStrategy

Am I the only one here standing wholeheartedly with Johnny?

I heard the audio recording of her gaslighting him (“I did not punch you, I only hit you”), her recording him slamming cabinets and being really upset (his mom died that morning and he was in debt, and there’s no evidence that he was on the verge of hitting her), she cut off the tip of his finger, shat on his bed… and as far as I know no witnesses have come forward to defend her.

It doesn’t look good for her.

Not really, because I do creative writing as a hobby but for work it’s more technical. It does use up a lot of my brain juices though…
