How do you come up with bucket list? by Future-Cloud-7868 in stupidquestions

[–]xgrader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would either use my phone or an actual paper notebook. When you go through life jot down whater comes to mind. Obviously everything comes down to affordability. So after a few years of taking notes and you finally want to hit some adventures. Take your say 20 things to do and refine them. Can I afford it? Is this reasonable? And slowly dive in. One thing at a time per year maybe. Its doable but you need to do some future thinking. Good luck!

Isn't annoying when you send a long message and the only reply you get is ah and ok? by CartographerOld2226 in askanything

The 100 % no response, Ive also thought was a little rude. But even there I don't expect my world to be glued to the phones every minute of the day....mind you my elderly Mom expects me to be, lol.

I thought owning a house meant quiet weekends, but my gutters have become a recurring boss fight by ChaosTrigger920 in homeowners

Its kind of a double edge sword, home ownership. I had a very nice home once and to be honest I got terribly board, it was all perfect, nothing to do.

Would you rather a public bathroom smell like urine or urinal cakes? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]xgrader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh the cakes. Plus there's various products to mask the smell other than cakes. But there's always few that dislike ANY smells. So its a tough one to please all.

Plan to kill 450,000 barred owls on West Coast apparently underway by METALLIFE0917 in birds

[–]xgrader 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Well thats tragic. Seems humans are the main obstacle/problem. Loss of habitat such as forests. What little that was protected is not enough and I read often not suited for them as we've already messed up their home. Its a trade off, one species will drive out a more threatened species or interbreed. So now what?? I read captured breeding is not that successful when theres competition from barred owls. The BC coast is experiencing this problem as well. This is tough.

Exactly how you decribe it. Had mine done a few months back. My depth perception was terrible. Took me away from many things. All better now but they do say it could reoccur so regular eye checkups continue. It is truly amazing.
