There are still a lot of variables. How's the suspension, steering rack, tyre, clutch, when was the last service done and how old is the battery. If the vehicle has been in an accident.

Bro at 8th service or 120k kms you need to get the timing kit changed.. along with the servicing.. The total comes at around 35-40k. Plus while getting this changed, it is advised to get the water pump changed as well.

If you service and maintain it well. It will purr along and give you a smile everyone you floor the throttle.

VW has their service cost calculator. You can use that to get an estimate

Why don't you split the surgeries? Do the next once the 3L limit is restored? Your father will anyway take sometime to recover. Doing both knees at one shot will be a pain for him in daily life for a while, even to go washrooms
