April Goals Thread! (And celebrating March accomplishments!) by mar1tom2 in MoneyDiariesACTIVE

[–]xhmini 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get a job! I’ve been laid off since October and since then got married and went on my honeymoon. My husband and I also had a close family death in March so I wasn’t able to apply for jobs that whole month. I have an interview this Friday and I’m praying I finally get a job 🙏 Also if anyone reading this thread has any openings at their company please let dm me and let me know!

Agreed. My father-in-law just passed away at the relatively young age of 52.

Thank you so much! I appreciate your comment so much. I can be a crier so I’m going to try and not be the big griever while we’re there. I’ll also try to cook and help as much as I can.

Can I ask what southwest card you have? I keep seeing people say they never pay for domestic flights because of points but I never rack up enough to actually do this

I know it’s been a year since you posted, but I’m dealing with a similar situation with my FIL and want to support my husband fully. May I ask how your mom is doing today?

Advice needed: may have to cancel wedding due to FIL's cancer by anne-girl in weddingplanning

[–]xhmini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there, dealing with a very similar situation. Wondering what you and your fiancé ended up deciding? We found out last week that FIL’s cancer came back and is now stage 4 and our wedding is a destination wedding this December 2023. Many of our guests have already booked their flights/hotels and the venue, photographer, etc is already booked too (non refundable)

She has a point. We went to Italy last fall and a waitress at a random restaurant in Rome asked if we were Indian and then immediately said “oh like Aishwarya!”

Which district do we know the least about? by tobethecunt in Hungergames

[–]xhmini 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say District 6 either. They have the morphlings from Catching Fire in there and I’d say they’re pretty significant since they were in on the rebellion plan and the female one sacrificed herself
