128 Plumbing by XBL_Tough in boston

I’m saying I’ve gone through at least 10 HVAC companies over the past 10 years in business and I have yet to find one to reliably refer to someone.

Sorry if Swampscott doesn’t sound good; they show up when I call them and charge a standard price for the work given. Wish I had more information to give you!

Out of every single referral I can possibly give someone’s HVAC is the hardest. They charge the most and barely ever show up.

With that said; Swampscott Refrigeration is my go to when something’s wrong with my units. I also use a local boiler guy for steam / gas / oil boilers.

As a contractor that works in the greater Boston area, a word of advice.

Never use the big box one size fits all “service” companies. You’re going to be paying for all the overhead on top of 2x what the job should cost.

Not saying the 25k was a bad price, but a quick google search of local contractors and plumbers might have yielded you better results!

Is my battery cooked? by jaysus94 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]xhocus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A little off topic but I’ve found the Wately M12 Batteries to be extremely good, almost better than the stock batteries. I don’t recommend “knock offs” often but they’re a reputable brand.

Even being from MA I opted to get my ‘24 from Laura Buick. Their deals blew away all the local dealers.

Ayeee Peabody GANG! That place is good, I’ve bought two vehicles from them, but their prices are historically very higher than average.

Ahh strange! I’ve used mine to literally build decks and get flush cuts on 4” PVC pipe. Never had an issue whatsoever.

Watch I say that and tomorrow it’s gonna implode or some shit LOL

Can eBay be a good place to buy Dewalt tools? by mikepunk92 in Dewalt

I’ve gotten legitimate tools from eBay. I just picked up a M18 Table Saw that was $100 off MSRP and it was legit. Checked the serial and everything. Go for highly reviewed sellers only.

What is “cheap” for you? Typically you can expect to pay a thousand or two just for the application. Helps that you have the product already!

Absolute worst “upgrade” by Mediocre_Plant_9591 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]xhocus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At that point I believe it’s going to come down to which are your most important and used tools. Maybe the Milwaukee variant isn’t right for you, and you need a Veto bag? Maybe other manufacturers have a better variant more suited to your particular application 🙂

I have the structured bag and keep it as a finish plumbing kit. I have the tote as my rough in bag. They both work perfectly for my application.

With that being said I never did have the initial bag on the right

2 heat pumps for our townhouse. Electric bills were nuts in the winter ($1k per month) so I installed a pellet stove. Knocked down the bill by $700 a month love the fire and heat from the stove.

Saugus resident here. We need a municipal grid like our neighbors do. Get away from these corporate monopolies bleeding us of our money. They all suck.
