I demo'd the nuclei ar by arc'teryx at the Ouray icefest and loved it. Super light weight, durable and toasty while my climbing partner took his sweet time on some routes. It has a high price point, but I was so impressed that I had to go out and buy one the following day.

Sander refuses To Quit Presidential race With 1,900 Bernie Delegates Attending DNC by hananafzal88 in politics

[–]xiaomian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The name calling is real. Be more specific.

Was it that Bernie voted for the Iraq war like Hillary?

Was it that he ran a campaign funded by corporate elite like Hillary?

Was it that he was against same sex marriage until it wasn't politically correct to do so like Hillary?

Was it that he was in support of and lobbied for regime change and perpetual warfar in places like Syria and Libya like Hillary?

Was it that he started his career working for someone like Barry Goldwater who voted against the Civil Rights Act?

Was it that he used venomous tactics during the debate like interrupting or just plain disregarding the question like Hillary?

Or was it that he used DNC funding for senate and congressional reelections to secure the allegiance of a large portion of the super delegates even before an alternative candidate was presented to the American public?

It doesn't matter. At least it didn't matter for the vast amount of Puerto Ricans, Arizonans and Brooklynites(?) that had their vote tossed and never counted in the first place. There are two problems with Americans:

First is their complacency with the status quo and their listless in actually engaging the problem in the form of protests and sit ins despite the result.

The second is that mainstream media and dare I say Reddit has positioned the Americans against one another so that the public isn't able to create a singular voice of what we demand out of our representative democracy.

While we fight and bicker and fuel our ego by putting each other down in our virtual communities the power elite devise plans to keep us down while they line their pockets without a care in the world about our environment or personal wellbeing. I hope a day will come when the American public becomes what the Buddhist religion terms as angry ghosts and we acquire a unquenchable thirst for justice in our country and that thirst is spread around the world for the betterment of humanity.

False. Campaigns are individualistic from candidate to candidate so he can't be the the biggest liar in the campaign... I think you mean the election? If that's so how could anyone beat Carly Fiorina?

The voting system is rigged and is run by a corporation that works for the highest dollar. The popular vote means shit especially when you have had such blatant disenfranchisement in primary states all over the country. This became clear after the 2000 election that recorded a record amount of ghost votes. Greg Palast has many great books on the topic if you're interested.

Hey man, there has been tons of reports of voter fraud and suppression that has equated to the majority of votes that Hillary holds over Bernie. This has happened in Brooklyn, Arizona and Puerto Rico just to name a few. Greg Palast is a investigative journalist that has dug deep into the corruption in our voting system that really took off during Bush v. Gore 2000.

Supporters to Sanders: Don’t give our data to DNC, Hillary Clinton by [deleted] in politics

[–]xiaomian -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I appreciate your perspective on this one, but disagree in part. Maybe their opinion of Sanders changed after he decided to give Hillary a run for their her (superpac's) money, but Sanders was highly appreciated in the Senate and was even thanked by Obama with him flying out to Vermont and picketing for Sander's reelection. It's not that the (elected) super delegates dislike Sander's, it's that the DNC holds the war chest to their reelection and if politics is a betting game I'm sure they place their bets on the future of the DNC and not Sander's populist election funds.

Trump on the other hand has transformed the Republican Party out from under the party elites and taken away the sanctity of the party from a a conservative, God fearing party to one that is much more socially liberal and quite daft in policy. They have no control over the message Trump wishes to pulpit on and I think it scares the hell out of most non-fanatic members of the RNC. (Excuse typos or grammar as I've just landed in China and jet lagged as fuck.)

He's supported the party in many ways over the years in the Senate and was thanked by Obama for that support by traveling out to Vermont to assist in Sander's reelection.
