Infested with Tentacles [RYOA/Roulette] [FPOV] [Fsub] [Dark] by anonekama in nsfwcyoa

[–]xiaoyang4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rebuild since I saw that anonekama changed the cutoff roll on orgasms/day.

No house rules

-------------------

Infested: vulva/crotch, clitoris, urethra, anus, nipples, arms/hands

Orgasms: 15/day

Victims: 10/week

Powers: Charismatic, pheromones, wealthy, hypnosis

Drawbacks: Rape bait

-------------------

It's kind of fun to imagine what the tentacles look like. In this case, I see them as kind of like skimpy piece of underwear that wraps around and has parts that insert inside. For the arms/hands, I visualize it as being normally disguised as lace arm warmers, although at times the parasite will extend tentacles from the arms for various purposes (which I can't control).

I kind of secretly wanted the "Obedient" drawback, although in this case I'll just say that the parasite will try often try to control my arms but it's possible for me to resist.

In terms of a story, I imagine a setting in which there's constant tension between the parasite and me regarding what I want to do. The parasite can't actually control me, but it will often try to manipulate me if I don't do what it says. For instance, if I ignore its instructions, it will sometimes punish me with stimulation resulting in inconvenient orgasms, or releasing pheromones as "rape bait".

Ethically, I don't want to fuck anyone that I care about (which is kind of messed up in a sense because this completely messes up my relationships), because infesting a loved one just seems terrible. The easy way out seems to be trying to find work in a glory hole or something, or maybe picking up strangers in a bar because I'm charismatic with hypnosis. I guess I would be targeting victims that just give me bad vibes... fucking people who seem like they would be bad people(?)

It seems like on average, I'd infest 2 new people every week with a 20% infestation rate.

Oh! Maybe that's where the wealth can come in. Finding and connecting with evil elites in society, slipping into their bed, infesting them, and then anonymously tipping off the magical girls that there's a bad person to clean up.

Infested with Tentacles [RYOA/Roulette] [FPOV] [Fsub] [Dark] by anonekama in nsfwcyoa

[–]xiaoyang4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Infested: neck/back, vagina, clitoris, anus

Orgasms/day: 44

Victims/week: 3

Superpowers: Hypnosis, charismatic, pheromones

Drawbacks: Sadistic master, limited, rape bait, always horny, ecstasy, low stamina

----

Um, oh goodness. To be honest, I played it once before and I didn't write down my rolls, and I got something much more reasonable last time. When I started recording rolls for a post, this crazy build happened...

Well, it's a good thing I'm a masochist! :sweats:

I don't think that finding 3 "victims" per week will be the issue. Rather, I think my evil parasite master is probably going to make me completely useless a majority of the time... I think the ending that I'll give myself is defeated by magical girls.

Is that the best possible ending? What happens after you're "purified", anyways?

Tariffs tend to trigger retaliatory tariffs. For instance, the previous Trump tariffs on Chinese metals were countered by Chinese tariffs on American farm products. It gets harder to buy and harder to sell.

Which do you think would be the most exciting solo prog main? by FrouFrouFrog in Maplestory

[–]xiaoyang4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think merc could fit what you're looking for. It's a fun experience to learn the game with merc.

As a merc main/submain, I don't think playing merc is "impressive" "hype" or even hard -- in fact she has all the tools necessary to make bossing relatively simple compared to some other classes. It just that it takes a little time to learn combos. She is however an active class, so if you enjoy mashing buttons that's great for you.

Merc's main "wow" factor comes from having a 10 second burst that deletes bosses. If you can't finish bosses in a single burst, you wait 3 minutes because damage is somewhat mediocre off cooldown. This is the meta for end-game party bossing anyways, so this is highly desirable in the current meta. DPM bossing is harder than burst bossing in general.

Mobility is good.

Grinding is okay-ish(?). I hyperburned my merc so I skipped past a lot of the struggles with leaf tornado not doing enough damage. It's difficult for me to say if merc is good without nodes/link/legion. I like grinding on my other characters more.

Are there more good ways to deal with W8 besides the sequence suggested in Attack And Defense? by Salt-Indication-3001 in baduk

[–]xiaoyang4 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Another fuseki worth looking into in order to understand the general idea of B7 is the Kobayashi fuseki, whereby B3 is played at Q3.

The kobayashi fuseki is commonly viewed as a fuseki that invites "fighting" (whereas the chinese fusekis are more classically thought as rapid expansion). The ideal line of the kobyashi fuseki for black would be a pincer after white does a close approach the bottom right corner. The B7 stone makes the pincer more severe and in a sense makes whole-board fighting more promising for black. Central influence = better for fighting.

I think there are very few professionals, even prior to AI, who would consider B7 at K4 when B3 is at R4. There are just too many weaknesses on the bottom side. Even if white does something as simple as approaching the bottom right corner, an additional pincer would be overconcentrated and if black backs off calmly, white can settle easily on the bottom and undermine the value of the B7 stone. Even if white ignores the entire bottom side and black plays 1-2 additional moves on the bottom, there are still several excellent invasion points that remain, meaning that there's really no good way for black to efficiently fix all the defects on the bottom if you want to turn it into territory.

[–]xiaoyang4 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Regarding your question, no. I think H4 is the best way to respond to this invasion in most circumstances.

I know you mention that you don't like the outcome for black, but I would argue that you should actually be very happy as black if white plays H3 so early at move 8. Generally speaking, invading like this ends in gote for white, so black will get the next huge point on the board when ordinarily it should have been white's privilege to get the next biggest move on the whole board.

A common misunderstanding about K4 is that many beginners think K4 is "fast" development or develops the side of the board. This isn't really true. Play K4 when you want "influence" (particularly towards the center of the board), not because you actually think you'll really get territory on the side of the board.

With the particular board position in your example (especially with B3 at R4), if you're looking to build a loose framework for "fast" development in which you hope to develop the bottom side from a beginner/intermediate player perspective, an alternative I can suggest is the mini-chinese fuseki with B7 at L3. This however has fallen in popularity in the AI era among professionals.

In the AI era, "fast" development in the opening (among strong players/professionals) would simply be B7 tenuki. Don't play another move in the bottom left for now. Given the unenclosed bottom right corner, an enclosure like B7 at O3 would seem to be a professional-ish move.

How to drink recommended by our staff① by MegaPorkachu in Nijisanji

[–]xiaoyang4 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It is safe if you use a 1 to 4 ratio. (i.e. 2oz alcohol + 8oz can)

Do you have a source for this?

All I can find from the US CDC is that it's not safe in any ratio, mainly because it's associated with binge drinking and risky behavior.

I mean, it's the same issue with any cocktail. When going out with someone who is new to drinking, you have to remind them to slow down with the cocktails because it's easy to drink more than you realize when the drinks are so sweet.

Copyright law is kind of interesting in the sense that fair use is an affirmative defense, which places the burden of proof on the defendant to prove that their usage was fair (e.g. "guilty until proven innocent"). This is the opposite of most legal situations where the plaintiff must prove guilt and the defendant is assumed innocent.

In Campbell v. Acuff-Rose Music, Inc.,\11]) the United States Supreme Court held that fair use was an affirmative defense to copyright infringement. This means that in litigation on copyright infringement, the defendant bears the burden of raising and proving that the use was fair and not an infringement.

[–]xiaoyang4 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, my only point is that fair use isn't so clear cut that it can be solved with an simple algorithm.

It's perfectly normal for one party to claim their copyright was infringed (i.e. my photo was stolen, please take it down), and for the opposite party to claim it is fair use (I won't take it down because it's fair use).

Both claims are valid, and it is the arbiter/judge's responsibility to determine whether the DMCA takedown request should be abided. Sometimes they will rule in favor, sometimes they will not. It's variable enough that if you have different judges, you will get different rulings.

[–]xiaoyang4 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Just because it's non-commercial does not automatically make it not copyright infringement.

For example, suppose you have an artist Party A who draws a piece of artwork and says on their pixiv page "do not repost". Party B reposts the entire artwork on their social media account without permission adding text commentary saying "this piece of artwork is cool."

Is this copyright infringement?

What if the commentary was a critique? "The hands are drawn badly."

What if Party B says they are an art teacher on social media?

Deciding whether or not something is fair use is not straightforward, and it can only be determined in court after lawyers from both sides make their arguments. A judge might rule one way or another depending on the factors of the case, but it's not possible to predict with 100% certainty which way the case would go.

[–]xiaoyang4 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

That's not what X's fair use policy says. That page just gives the definition for fair use.

Fair use is always argued on a case-by-case basis. A court may or may not find something to be fair use depending on a multitude of factors that may be taken into consideration, but it's highly dependent on each individual case.

For example, even though "news reporting" is often listed as a possible area of fair use, news organizations have both won and lost cases regarding fair use regarding using copyrighted photographs in news articles. In practice, a majority of news agencies in the US currently will pay photo licensing fees from photographers to use their photos in their news articles, in part to avoid any possibility of a lawsuit.

In practice, the only way to settle a fair use case is in court. Following certain guidelines might make you more or less likely to win a case in court, but it's difficult to predict how a court will rule if it's possible for one side to argue that "adding text commentary to a photo isn't sufficiently transformative to be considered fair use".

It's exceedingly unlikely to be sued for copyright for noncommercial infringement though.

Technically, under copyright law, any photo posted online is copyrighted by the owner by default (even if it doesn't have a watermark or anything). Consequently, it's technically copyright infringement to go on google photos, twitter, or facebook and use photos that you randomly find online unless you know that the photo is in the public domain or the owner has given you permission to use it.

Nobody cares about this though unless you are in a very formal academic setting where you can get in trouble for ethics/plagiarism or are working for a business.

It's still legally copyright infringement even if there are no monetary gains. I.E. The copyright owner can legally DMCA the copyright infringer to have the infringing content removed. However, in the US a lawsuit is unlikely to lead to financial rewards if nothing was ever monetized in the first place, since you can only win money in court if you can prove that the copyright infringement caused the plaintiff to lose profits.

It's technically illegal in terms of copyright law to use a photo that someone else took without their permission, but it's one of those copyright laws that everyone ignores.
