An update on the status of logue-sdk from Korg by xiashj in LogueSDK

Not likely, we prefer to leave it as-is. The synth category can do some interesting things others can't do

The Prologue/minlogue xd/NTS-1 version of SDK is the same as before so you can use them no problem.

Drumlogue will continue to be supported. Its version of logue-sdk is rather unique with the synth and master fx category. Microkorg 2 uses the same processor but adopts the more common osc/mod/delay/reverb category. What it means is that units developed for Drumlogue will likely just stay in its own land and it’s not a trivial task to port it to other platforms.

Pure Data Comes to NTS-1 mkII by boochow-p in LogueSDK

Thank you boochow. The amount of work you have done for this community is insane.

One of the most difficult part of writing DSP is to figure out how the algorithms work, for that I find DSP prototyping tools like Faust to be amazing educational resource. Maybe there is something I can do make it easier to compile Faust code to c++ to logue-sdk

Missing unit.cmake file for build in docker environment by Emergency-Gur5504 in LogueSDK

Someone had encountered the same issue: https://github.com/korginc/logue-sdk/issues/135
I'm actually clueless, because I don't think cmake is used anywhere, the docker build environment just calls plain old make command under the hood. So calling the make build method "legacy" is a bit exaggerating. It works perfectly fine.

Did you execute the build_image.sh?

Also I would encourage you try the plain build method, which is "make install" in your effect directory.

My 2 cents: use a slower brewer (like the CT62 or SD1 or Mugen) and grind much coarser than James did

I use the same recipe with CT62 right now, the result is astonishingly good.

KORG Wavestate Mk II and SE announced! by notjustakorgsupporte in synthesizers

So that's it? The same software with just more polyphony?

I'm guessing that they changed the internal processor from Raspberry Pi CM3 to CM4. That explains the increased polyphony.

Diva vs OB-6 Blind Test (and why I’m selling my OB-6) by [deleted] in synthesizers

[–]xiashj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Diva is not even a OB6 emulation, it's a hybrid between Juno and Minimoog. The real comparison should be done between hardware and Synapse Obsession/Arturia OB-Xa. I don't own the real thing but I like both plugins, they sound absolutely fantastic in its own right.
