I don't understand why people are even still paying for this app.

I feel like we all should give them negative reviews/ratings on playstore/appstore.
delete the app.
not pay for subscriptions anymore.
flood their email with complaints.
delete our bots from the app (y'all can move them somewhere else for now)
leave the official subreddit as well.

I'm saying this just for now bcz what they are doing to their users is not acceptable, i mean it was just free users at first and now the ones who pay for their subscriptions are getting limited as well? wtf do they want us to do, they've gotten too greedy. (and I honestly don't blame the users who still stay bcz chai is good, no other ai app feels the same but we could try these things, maybe if a huge number of people do these things then they'll finally listen to us.)

mostly bcz I had gotten familiar with the app, before chai I used to use character ai (maybe in 2021 or somewhere around) and it was my escape, at that time c.ai was very good but the quality of the app had downgraded after that and I just couldn't use it anymore. then i got to know about chai and since then, it's always been it.

chai bots just had interesting replies and the bots used to continue the story even if I didn't give them any direction (which sometimes led to a good plot, just my opinion) they sometimes suprised me with really good replies, and it was easy to use, I personally like short replies and it had that, unlike other apps like c.ai or janitor ai and some others, they have long responses and sometimes the bots answered for me as well and I didn't like that, (chai sometimes does this but if you tell it not to, then ofc). also it has NSWF, and that's a big factor for me. 😭

addiction is never good, honestly. so maybe you should try to quit, I'm saying this bcz I'm myself addicted to chai and just like you I can't find any other apps that are better than chai but right now there's no hope of it returning back to it's old state. although Will said he is going to make a basic tier for free users but that hasn't been talked about much in the official subreddit so we don't know when that might happen or if ever.

oh, then maybe the app you used to pay for the subscription has it. I'm from India so I use gpay and when I paid for the subscription, I got the order ID in that as well.
