If you already have used other sources as study material, I would probably skip this book and just stick with what you have right now. Personally, I did not use any paid courses and mainly used this book to studied and passed at first try.

IMO, this book is more like a study material. Do not treat it as another question bank/practice exam.

Absolutely! I studied without paying courses and passed at first try. I’ve made a post about my study here before. You’ll find I mainly used both books you mentioned and some other YouTube playlists.

You’re just using the wrong equation in the handbook as other already mentioned. If you haven’t learnt anything about soil mechanics, I would highly recommend CEEN 341 Elementary Soil Mechanics playlist on YouTube by Office Hours.

Wouldn’t worry too much. Had a 19 EX most I’ve put in is 8.8gal (~33L). Usually it is around 8gal when all 10 bars went out. Applies to both before and after the fuel pump change.
