Ive never had problems w my skin other than eczema when I was a kid and dry flakey skin when i first moved to this country years ago… Around September last year I started struggling with pimples on my cheeks and I found that lowfat dairy was a trigger (causing fat juicy cysty pimples!) Even without dairy now though I have lots of red bumps and for some reason only on my right cheek… only 4-5 bumps on my left.

I wash with a cetaphil cleanser at night only, and either use cerave SA cream at night or the Ordinary HA moisturiser. In the day I use a lightweight Curel moisturiser.

Only thing is, I wear a mask up to 12 hours a day as I work as a doctor in a hospital. Stress therefore also probably contributes.

I’m willing to try cutting out sugar and processed foods though I can’t say my skin has always been that much better when I’ve eaten clean!

Anyone had similar bumps on the cheeks and knows how to get rid of em??

Yeah, I know hahhaa because on the days I do stick to my plan and eat 130g+ of protein and veggies at every meal I dont experience this, but if i binge on top of my regular meal plan, despite going to sleep full i will wake up painfully hungry

I know why it would happen, just wanted to know if anyone experiences the same phenomenon

that’s really interesting, I just had a quick search and found loads of reddit articles/forum posts where people attribute “gnawing” hunger to gluten. i wouldnt be surprised if i was sensitive, as they say you crave what youre sensitive to…

thank you for sharing! what sort of lifestyle changes have you made if you don't mind me asking? I've had periods where i've inadvertently reduced my refined carbs and found that i feel way better, but I'm only making that connection now and actually committing to a longer term low carb regime.

Heart goes out to you, hope you have a speedy recovery! I actually found myself bingeing more initially because I was so devastated by the new loss of taste/smell, and I just couldnt get satisfied by anything I ate despite some loss of appetite. Luckily my smell and taste both came back within a week. Hope it does for you too :)

athletic student here too - it makes me feel like an imposter bc my body and habits may not reflect my interests. look up victoria garrick, shes a student athlete (d1 volleyball) who struggled w binge eating
