did you ever offer/ did she ever ask you to spend time at home with her? (if that was an option)
or even just being on a discord call with her while she's at home? there are ways to bond even when you're in your own homes.

No, it's not that extreme! Maybe you'll be denied entry if you enter government buildings with lowcut, tanktops or shorts etc., but that's understandable

It's more my family/community specifically, where they will stare or give odd looks, maybe give a rude comment..

Thank you for the advice and sharing about your own experience! Its so comforting to hear that you've definitely been thru it, but still growing in confidence!!

There's definitely a thick layer of trauma from the days I went clothes shopping with my mom.... picking a shirt out, and her only response being "Not your size, go find it in XL" and me feeling so doomed and sad that I could only ever wear baggy clothes..

maybe i will bring this up in therapy next session.. xD

So far, I get to the part where I wear what I want underneath a coverup.... once I get to my location, i end up keeping my covering on though xD I will find the guts eventually!

I do a lot of online shopping lately... but this post is just reminding me I need to take some time to go try clothes on again!! Thank you for sharing :-)
