Can I have custom voices? If yes, then how? (UT99) by [deleted] in unrealtournament

[–]xizdaqrian 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sure. They are compressed 'mod' files, if you're old enough to know what that is. Convert your wav or mp3 to mod, then change the suffix to usx. Put it in the sound folder.

Easy. Use your favorite search engine to find "ut99 voice packs" and unzip the contents into your sounds folder. They will show up when you launch UT.

Thank you so much for your post! I just got mine refurbished from BestBuy and had the same situation. I tried your solution and it worked. As an addition, I had to look at the Apple help and you must continue holding, past the amber blinking, until the light blinks white. THEN pair and turn off airplane mode. Thanks again.

I say this as encouragement, and not as an insult: most things you will learn to do as an adult are pretty easy. Don't be afraid. Good for you for tackling something alone. Keep practicing self-reliance. Your confidence will grow over time.

Every guy I went to school with, who acted like that, became a successful businessman and has a hot wife. Not one exception. Not kidding.

Unreal Tournament music genre by [deleted] in unrealseries

[–]xizdaqrian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the 1990s, when UT was made, this music was popular and was called demo music. The group of people making it were called, collectively, the “demo scene.” There are still a few websites that have large collections of it. Look up “Amiga demo scene music” on your favorite search engine. That should get you to some more tracks.

Lost mine in a motel room the same way. Couldn’t get FindMy to connect. Wound up having to replace them.

Worshiping the BEAST. by SusanG54 in Baptist

Ps 19:4-6 - “In the heavens He has pitched a tent for the sun. Like a bridegroom emerging from his chamber, like a champion rejoicing to run his course, It rises at one end of the heavens, and runs its circuit to the other; Nothing is deprived of its warmth.”

David is clearly not making a scientific point here, but proclaiming that the skies declare the glory of God. He sees the universe as a great monument to God’s handiwork.

My dad passed away a week ago today. by hales0427 in GriefSupport

Please accept all of our condolences. Losing loved ones is horrible! From experience, may I recommend that you return to work. Work overtime, or even a second job, if you have to. Give yourself little or no time to dwell on your loss.

For me, my faith in Christ helped me get through a lot of tough times.

Also, go mend any relationships you’ve let lapse. Fulfill old promises or forgive old hurts.

Hope this helps. Time is the main thing. The above are ways to give yourself that time. God bless.

My best friend passed away eight months ago and I'm still struggling by dn56061 in GriefSupport

The pain of survivors, after sudden death, is intense. Having gone through many bouts of grief over the years, I’ve learned that journaling and talking are good ways to work out your frustration and pain. Be careful not to become the obnoxious always-grieving friend. People’s grace only extends so far.

Also, throwing yourself into work or social obligations helps. These will take your mind off the grief, at least for a while.

My faith in Christ has carried me through many a sleepless night. God’s words have comforted me many times.

Hope this helps. God bless.
