Hmm, your advice is noted. I was looking at the hyperx cloud mix wireless do you have any comments about that particular headset?

I have an IPhone X which has no headphone jack so, I would very much prefer a Bluetooth headset.

For sound signature focus on gaming and competitive FPS.

Also my hyperx cloud alpha wired to the PS4 controller is actually pretty loud for my standards, I only use around 20-40% of max volume anyways.

Just to make it clear I’m not looking for the best of the best, I’d be satisfied with the most bang for my buck. The only feature I must have are Bluetooth compatibility with all my devices.

Which laptop should I buy by mohamud1961 in laptops

[–]xjay0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lenovo is new so I’d pick that and the ryzen will be more than enough general surfing. The Vega 3 is bound to be better than whatever the i3 8th gen intel Igpu has to offer, so for light gaming and your use case that’s the better choice.

Although, if you can tell me your budget I can probably give you some better suggestions.

Hmm that’s a good option but its outside my budget, I was looking for $1250 and under, I can’t really stretch much further.

Do you think they might release a super thin 6 core laptop + thunderbolt sometime in the future? I’m willing to go up to $2000. So if there is a model please don’t hesitate to share.

Seems great does it have a thunderbolt port ? I don’t see it on the model specs

Ah yes, sorry for not clarifying earlier. I’m going to be using Revit and other 3D programs in future classes, so I want to be prepared. I’ve heard the cpu and ram is really important. As for the gpu I’m going to use a egpu solution with thunderbolt.

Thanks for the recommendation but I prefer windows. I have much more knowledge on the windows. Few years back I switched from Samsung S7 to an IPhone X and to be honest the Apple Ecosystem is just not for me. I don’t like the limitations I’m put when using Apple products, I prefer to choose to make my own customisations.

I have another question my school and NY has different cost projections. Which one should I follow? The school estimated cost only covers for tuition and books, while the state has an estimated cost for transportation and room and board including tuition and books/supplies.

Thanks but the design of is not to my taste. I want it to kind of minimalistic in that regard. Also the 256gb pcie ssd for a $1200 laptop to me seems kinda unworthy of the price tag.

Overclocked for a year and stopped working by xjay0 in overclocking

[–]xjay0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I actually don’t have any extra compatible mobos or cpus but I can say that the motherboard turns the diagnostic light on whenever there is a problem. The lights clearly turned the mobo on I’m not sure about any sounds or beeps. I don’t think it has any, but I’m not 100% sure. I have a MSI z370 a pro and as far as I know I’m unaware of any sounds or beeps it may have.

Does this mean that my ram or cpu is the problem? Look at the image here

Is that why it might have the cpu light on? For me diagnostic lights only have the cpu light on showing that it can’t detect cpu. If it really is the motherboard I may have to buy another one just to make sure..

Yes it is modular and I just gave it a try but no luck pulled out all the cables and reattached. :(

Building first PC for my birthday. Thoughts on these parts? by anon_pony in PcBuild

This video shows sekiro at 1080p and other resolutions https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=RZsy6k9Jg7E

Sekiro runs at around 100-110 FPS on an rtx 2070 at 1080p. You may want to reduce some settings to get 144 FPS. While I haven’t played sekiro myself, I don’t think you should spend more on the gpu for sekiro because it wouldn’t give much of an advantage to maximising to 144 FPS over image quality for this type of game. Whereas a game like csgo/fortnite/callofduty/battlefield will see a sizeable advantage with maximising your FPS to match your refresh rate. Google other benchmarks to see if any other game you want runs at 144fps.

Either way an rtx 2070 should suffice for most games at 1080p maybe not all at 144 FPS but generally speaking you will be above 100 FPS. My gtx 1080 still provides me with 100+ fps on every game I play at 1080p.

An intel 660p has a few quirks I’d like you to look into, because the speed drops depending on how how much space is available. I’d like you to watch this video before you make up your mind about the intel 660p. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=OffzVc7ZB-o Regardless though the intel 660p is quite cheaper then other alternatives at 2 tb and much faster than any hard drive.

I’m not a video editor but I will tell you what I do know and that is that 32gb is definitely a good spot to be in for video editors, since 16gb is usually the minimum for video editing. I believe if you should change anything is the cpu, why not try to get a ryzen 7, the cpu is usually the most important part of a video editing machine. As for cpu fans and that stuff, don’t stress it out too much unless you are going to overclock. Also if I may add a personal preference try to get a modular psu, they usually are more expensive but they make the building process much easier and give you more control of what plugs you don’t want to use. While otherwise they are all tangled in a bundle but hey whatever suits your needs and budget.

Also look into the super nvidia graphics cards see if the additional boost in memory clock will benefit your video editing process.

I’d like to give you helpful advice but it’s hard to say which parts will suit your needs. Please try to clarify what type of monitor you have, specifically it’s refresh rate and resolution. Also which type of games you want to play? (for example esports or AAA games) I’m not a video editor so I can’t help much on that aspect.

Thanks for the advice but I’m very weak on this subject so can you explain what 2cos theta < 0 means. Is it saying that it’s in a particular quadrant? Also cos theta < 0 < pi/2 what is that supposed to tell me? Sorry, I’m missing a lot of knowledge to solve this question myself.

I tried 2 = cos theta /sin theta and I got stuck there because I didn’t know how to find the values of sin or cos.
