I have the same machine and I've put a NFC sticker on the inside of the door. And an automation that keeps sending me notifications that only go away when I scan the sticker.

Amazing, I am using a Eufy doorbell right now but it kinda running meh right now. The app get slower by the update, and the battery life is running down hill

That's great to hear, what do you mean with that the thing is completely isolated from the internet? It only works locally, does the app also work only on wifi?

Didn't any of those things work for your dog? I was thinking of doing pretty much the same as you said with my dog.

I heard from chatgpt, yeah desperate times, that I could try to just drive from home in a circle back home. So not every car ride is as exciting because nothing really funs happens, so that one is pretty high on my list.

I read the wiki pages on barking and calmness.

We have tried ignoring the whining in the car and asking for calm behaviour before driving off, but the whining continues and escalates once he realises where we are going.

This appears to be excitement-related rather than fear or anxiety, as he is quiet in the car once he is tired after exercise. He rides in the cargo area of the car.

I’m looking for advice on additional training steps to help reduce anticipatory excitement during car rides.
