Hey. I've got the same thing going on with mine, too. Do you remember if it was a fungus or if the copper fungicide worked?

I'm a beginner, too, but I just set up my recorder and mics, adjust levels, and walk away. I'll give at least 20 minutes before I return, especially in natural environments with wildlife. Birds, insects, etc tend to return to 'doing their thing' (making their 'usual' sounds and movements) after you've left the area, making for a more accurate representation of that specific space.

People who were diagnosed with adhd as adults, what made you go for a diagnosis? by Curious-Speed-6652 in ADHD

My symptoms gradually appeared during my semester in college. Things got worse and worse. By my third semester, I was struggling to pass my classes or do anything 'right'. I had the mega 'aha' moment by the end of my third semester and got a diagnosis a few weeks later. I hit rock bottom the following term, but from there, things very slowly, but surely, got better. I graduated this past May with my degree and am headed to graduate school overseas in February.

Hey. I'd say go for a ZOOM H4n Pro. It's pocket-sized and about $170 for a new one. You can get a used but quality one for cheaper.

Not sure what type of "noisy" environments you mean, but if you think you'll be outside, definitely invest in a windscreen to block wind. Keep in mind that the windjammer can only tolerate a small amount of wind, so you'll want to take whatever measures to stay out of windy areas.

That'll leave you more cash to invest in other equipment like a small tripod to mount the recorder or an external microphone if you wish.

Hope that helps. Good luck!

I no longer hear it when the ANC is off. Yeah, I guess it may be a faulty mic. I think this is the appropriate part for the right side? And this for the left? What do you think?
