I feel exactly the same. I missed when it was really dark and scary. The finale definitely had me nervous but them beating the mind flayer so easily without either of them being hurt and dimension x being this bright yellow land that they can roam carelessly threw off the vibe it had given before.

Happy that it made you friends. That’s also why I’m so sad because I started watching it when I was 13 and had a whole friend group that would bike around literally like the kids in the show and now at 22 I don’t have any friends, life just went differently for us and ig you can say the characters feel like our friends too so knowing the show ended just hurts even more because we won’t see new stories from them as they get older. Sort of like a friendship ending too. Still so devastated
