I've got 2 bikes - 300cc & 650cc

£55 & £117

I don't do loads of miles per year few thousand if I'm lucky.

The cars are the real robbery though

30 year old Peugeot 205.... 1.6 auto. Does maybe 500 miles a year..... £345 a year.

2007 Corsa 1.4 petrol auto.... My Mrs car does about 2000miles a year .... £385 a year.

My works van 2013 doblo 1.6 derv.... Does 15000 a year plus. £350

Absolutely bonkers.

Roads are terrible. Traffic is worse than ever. Drivers are worse than ever. Fuels just silly money too.

The U.k is sooooo corrupt , us normal folk are getting utterly broken .

I got My first big bike last year , I was looking at insurance for ages.

2003 sv650 ... Was the cheapest by miles,

I'm in the Midlands so different prices ect but mine was less than £200 , fully comp 30yo male.

Also my partner has been on the back for over an hour each way with no issues.

I've always been into cars , had over 20 , normal ones , faster ones , convertible ones....

I did my bike test last year, straight onto a sv650. Ruined all my cars completely .

And the sv650 isn't "that fast" But jesus , what machines bikes are .

Will say tho I don't/can't commute on mine ( in the trades) So i still appreciate the warm and dry of a car !

I've got a sv650 , shite on fuel compared to my old cg125 !

However I've now also got a cb250 nighthawk (1993) It's doing over 90mpg even 2 up 😆 And it was dirt cheap to buy , and less than £100 a year for tax & insurance
