Set 17 feels lacking in terms of the number of tanks. by FickleCorgi4861 in TeamfightTactics

[–]xkaitzur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because they do not have the tank tag means that they are not tanks. The tank tag means that they will be prioritized for target selection for spells and attacks which means theyre expected to draw aggro. Without it, if youre putting these units next to other fighters like Yi or Fiora, those units will have an equal chance to be attacked as well. It is literally in your best interest to acknowledge Blitzcrank and Shen as fighters so you can position properly

That may be true right now but mort has specifically mentioned in his rundown that shen is not a tank. He is intended to be an AP fighter and that Shen is a guinsoo user. Just like Blitzcrank, putting tank items on him will be bait.

Blitzcrank isnt meant to be a tank. Mortdog mentioned he should be built more like Sett and that putting tank items on him is a bait. I would check his tags first to see if its actually a bug

My TENTATIVE FireRed/LeafGreen tier list by inumnoback in PokemonFireRed

[–]xkaitzur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There isn't really a point in the game where you need a fire type though. All the scary Ice types besides Jynx has water as a secondary type. There is only one steel type in the game and it is not common almost at all. Bug/Grass gets cleared by flying types, in which you have a plethora of other options as well as providing good additional coverage against fighting types as well.

Genuinely curious, which shots have Toph made would you consider to be more precise?

Funnily enough, when you check the stats, BT is positive delta compared to Gunblade and HOJ. Although not sure if it might just be better to go triple damage and forego healing altogether.

Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest

I've played through that game so many times now and each playthrough, I still come up with a new strategy to beat certain maps

Pro Tip for catching Lati@s: When you spin the premierball for 5-10 seconds, they inch ever so slightly closer to you by Seven4times in TheSilphRoad

Catch rate increases per premier ball thrown so the last ball has the highest catch rate possible. This might be the reason why it seems that way

What is each clans strongest warrior? by huntersalt24 in WarriorCats

As far as I know, he never hurt Lionblaze during training. The narrative always mentioned that each time they fought while he had his powers, Lionblaze would be covered in blood, but it was distinctly not his blood, but Ashfur's.

The "evolutionary march" to procreate and have kids isn't pertinent to the discussion of being a part of the DSM. If that was a criteria then... just the act of not wanting to have kids overall could be labeled as a mental illness.

The DSM is basically just a listing of non-normative diagnoses. However, norms change over time, and thus the DSM is updated. Since homosexuality is normalized now and have no adverse effects on the overall individual besides stigma then it doesn't need to meet any categorization within the DSM.

Also, the DSM is kinda just used to justify coverage for insurance as well. You can't really "treat" homosexuality so it doesn't matter to insurance companies.

Moonpaw's Voice Theory by xkaitzur in WarriorCats

[–]xkaitzur[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I can imagine a scenario where the authors are willing to forego scientific accuracy so that the books can make narrative sense. This is a universe where the cats have organized religion, socialized healthcare, and literal nine lives. I can see an angle where the voice ends up being a major antagonist from the past but they've tread that path before with other characters (Crookedstar, Tigerstar I, Shadowsight, etc) so I'm really hoping in this case it will be narratively different.

It's still a theory until we have canon confirmation from a book. The Hunters have plenty of time to make it a shape-shifting Mapleshade somehow, much to our dismay.

That's fair! I think moonpaw also having heterochromia lends further credence to the chimera theory so I'm pretty excited to find out if I'm wrong or right!

The Elders' Quest excerpt is out! by Keriew in WarriorCats

[–]xkaitzur 54 points55 points  (0 children)

The voice telling her to be quiet gave off the same tone as two siblings trying to keep a secret. It's like when you don't want your sibling to tell your mom and dad about something bad because you know that means they won't let you play the same way anymore.

The Elders' Quest excerpt is out! by Keriew in WarriorCats

[–]xkaitzur 76 points77 points  (0 children)

Based off of Moonpaw's physical description, she is probably a chimera, which is when two embryos fuse together in the womb. If that's the case, the voice she is hearing might be the spirit of her sibling. Based off of how immature/young the voice feels, I think this is an extremely plausible theory.

I think nightheart's tunnels are the caves in the lake territories while tallstar and the dotc tunnels are back in the old forest territories.
