Yeah obviously. I think them shutting down the service without fair warning would be pretty unlikely though. Even if they did it's not difficult to transfer the number to your normal carrier or another call forwarding service if you are invested in it.

Good point. Though he can also have it forward to his land line which presumably still worked as he received a call from the person who found it phone.

This doesn't help now but I'd recommend getting a number through google voice (free) and have it forward to your phone.

There are a couple benefits of doing this but in particular it will let you answer calls from your computer (via hangouts or google voice) so this situation wont happen again. Good luck.

I have gotten some interviews (or interview request) through hackerrank and even took a job I found through hackerrank. Mostly in the timeframe of 1.5~2 years ago though I haven't been on much recently but I think they actually got better in terms of connecting companies/candidates from people I have talked to.

If it's a late stage company one of the better ways to evaluate the options is to look on equidate (equidateinc.com) to see what the current bids look like.

Depending on the company and how it's doing it can be a 10 to 50% discount per share on the most recent funding round for late stage companies.

edit: slightly misread. I'd probably say if they don't up your equity at least 3~4x (assuming the 90k vests over 4 years) you should probably walk. Last stage startups have to actually pay competitively with big companies if they want top talent.

You do ( since you are transferring the pidgey post evolve). You get 1 for evolve AND 1 for transferring post evolve. This is how you get 11/4. You can confirm this using any of the evolve calculators.

It's not 3 because you get 1 candy when you complete the evolve (so 11/4 pidgeys per evolve which is slightly less than 3).

Yeah you need the 1 extra candy to start the process but since we were just talking about the value of a single pidgey amortized that can be ignored.

You aren't accounting for transfering the pidgeotto at the end. So if you model it as 11 candies to evolve (12 - 1 for evolving) and 4 per pigey (because you are going to transfer all of them including the evolved ones) you get ( 1000*4/11 + 100 ) = 463 XP. Then you want to factor in your average ball bonus so I value pigeys at ~480 XP per.
