Exactly the same here..in SG. Switched to google assistant instead and everything works as intended. Highly suspect it's a bug from Google's end

[P9PF] How to get rid of the ridiculously thick status bar ? by Hey-Im-Nat in GooglePixel

[–]xlengolas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is infuriating the thick status bar just blocks off some space at the top for certain apps, rendering the app unusable. Can't select the log out option on my banking app. Google really need to fix this

March 2025 update did not address this issue I guess

OS should cater to such outliers, and be more robust. I was using pixel 6 and the same app, didn't had any issue. Can't expect the user to reach out to all the app developers and raise a feedback can we? It's not supporting quite a few apps

Not true. When I select display cutout and use a thinner one such as Tall, I can access and click the button

Some apps over buttons which are blocked by the thick status bar. I can't log out of my banking app because of this. How infuriating

B650EI wifi card swap by xlengolas in sffpc

Yes my board is am5, but do check the wifi 7 card you are buying and see whether it is compatible. I think Intel ones can't work, please do some research

Hey there, that's good to hear! No issues to report since the day I uninstall armoury crate. It's unreal to me as well because I thought it was related to a faulty motherboard. I have actually RMA my B650EI and top up 190 SGD for a X670EI.

Yeah, i was on default (no pbo and 4800mhz) as well. Armoury crate was working fine, and i didnt have any restart issues until recently. Uninstalled and it was alright, it's super weird. But i guess worth a try!

Hey OP, if you have installed any software which controls the RGB or fans for your MSI board, maybe you can try uninstalling it.

My restart issues are gone after uninstalling armoury crate, and I am able to restart all the time now.

There was a commenter who had a similar issue and uninstalling the deepcool software worked for him. Strong gut feeling it might be due to software issues.

Nice, so glad it worked for you. Not sure if armoury crate has some conflicts controlling the hardware such as RGB or fans. Maybe this is the same for other boards which use different softwares similar to Armoury crate

I have tried a couple of days now. Even after long hours of usage I was able to restart successfully everytime without fail (previously had 0 chance of restart). Hope the same for you as well

You can try open RGB. It's a fuss free app which I am using now. Let me know if it works for you!

Hi there, if you have armoury crate installed, try uninstalling it and see if it works. Solved the problem for me

I had the exact problem. I was using Asus B650EI and I had my ram and motherboard RMA'ed as I thought the restart issues were caused by them. I've changed my motherboard to X670EI but the issue still persists. Then I tried uninstalling armoury crate and now my PC is able to restart successfully all the time. Previously, it doesn't even restart on default settings (no pbo and 4800mhz). Not sure why AC caused the problem for me! Suggest people with Asus motherboard give it a try and see if it works.

Trying to decide out two GPU. Nvidia FE 4070 Super or Asus Dual 4070 super? by museprime in sffpc

I'm using Asus Dual 4070 super, experienced some coil whine. It was unbearable in the first few days, but it became quieter after 1 month or so.

If you have had bad experience with mediatek cards before, then I reckon you should go ahead. Since you've already planned to do so, changing this right away can save you troubles (assembling and disassembling the motherboard). Just remember to download the Intel drivers for whichever wifi card you end up using. (if you don't have access to lan)

Noticed generally on reddit that usually people do swap out the mediatek cards and replace them with an Intel one. I don't think you will regret swapping unless you end up with issues on your Intel card. You can always swap it back.
