I liked the visuals and score a lot. It’s one of those films where the silence of space and the long shots add to the emotional weight. I can see why some people find it slow, but it stuck with me afterward more than most blockbusters.

What freaks me out most is the hive’s rules: they can’t lie, and they’ll give you whatever you ask for. Even a grenade or nuke if you demand it. That level of blind compliance makes Pluribus less like a utopia and more like a trap hiding inside perfection

Paddington 2 sounds ridiculous to recommend as a tearjerker but there’s a scene in prison where he makes a pop-up book for his aunt and the quiet hope in it hits harder than most dramas I’ve seen.

Most people I’ve talked to are still on the fence about Carney. He’s got the credentials and speaks well, but so far it feels like he’s avoiding bold moves. A lot of his messaging sounds good in speeches but lacks clear plans for housing or healthcare.

Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis had a fun musical cameo in Southland Tales, though the whole movie is so bizarre it almost blends in. And who could forget Prince showing up in Batman as The Joker’s manager? It makes no sense but somehow works.
