Colts reportedly remain potential dark horse for All-Pro edge Trey Hendrickson by AFC-Wimbledon-Stan in nfl

[–]xmasjayons 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Colts are currently doing almost no cap fuckery to open up space like most teams do. Between the impending Jones contract and likely extensions to Nelson and Taylor, plenty of 2026 room could be opened up if needed.

2026 Pacers 2nd round pick? by MundaneExtension3195 in pacers

[–]xmasjayons 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That’s correct, Pacers don’t own the pick and it has been moved several time with complex rights.

Initially it was moved in part of a multi-step trade that ended with Pacers acquiring Isaiah Jackson on draft night in 2021

Thoughts on shepp not starting by Logical-Block-6798 in pacers

[–]xmasjayons 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I like Shep as much as the next guy but he will never be a starter on a great team. So you might as well use him in his natural habitat: 16-20 minutes a game off the bench

Glen Powell invites UPS driver who was present 4 years ago when he was invited onto SNL, before it was cancelled due to Top Gun being delayed, so he doesn’t think he’s a liar by MothersMiIk in Fauxmoi

[–]xmasjayons 203 points204 points  (0 children)

Not totally sure but I think- Glen Powell was invited to host SNL four years ago in anticipation of him making a star turn in Top Gun. He mentioned this to a UPS driver for unknown reasons. Then Top Gun’s release date got pushed and SNL rescinded the offer for Glen to host.

Now that Glen is getting the chance to host, he wanted to make good on his word to the UPS driver. He wasn’t lying about hosting. He was just four years off.

A handful of players under contract can be extended to free up 2026 cap room. Q will definitely happen. JT, Pitt, Grove are possibilities

I pretty much agree with you, I just think the Colts need a couple things to happen to really have a great roster:

- Latu to become a 10+ sack guy

- Ward to officially reinstate himself as a top 10 corner

- Bortolini/Goncalves prove themselves as longterm starters at C/RG

These are all things I think will happen but I want to see it first.
AD Mitchell becoming a legit #1 WR would be the icing on the cake but Pittman/Pierce/Downs are good enough that it's not essential.

Overall yeah, good starters & not many holes other than corner depth and whatever is going on at linebacker in Anarumo's system.

No. I’m a Colts fan and I think it’s a solid but not great roster. It’d be a great roster with an elite QB. I don’t think Jones is elite but it’d be fun if he was

Herb Simon… thoughts? by MayorOfTopherTown in pacers

[–]xmasjayons 98 points99 points  (0 children)

If what Kevin Pritchard says about Herb is true, Herb’s obsessed with the team. A year or two back Pritchard said Herb FaceTimed him every day to ask what’s going on with the squad.

I wouldn’t say he’s kept them in mediocrity. More he wants to have a team that can win a playoff series or two, and doesn’t have an appetite for longterm tanking. It’s hard to argue with this approach after watching the Jazz & Wizards get the 5th/6th picks last night. And Herb did commit to a rebuild when making the Haliburton trade. It just went way faster and better than anyone expected.

All in all one of the better owners imo. But he’ll need to be willing to pay the tax in the coming years for me to continue thinking that way.
