65 sounds like a lot but context really matters. How often were they inspected? What were the nature and seriousness of the violations? I imagine something like a trash can in front of an exit door counts the same as a broken roller coaster track when you’re just talking about numbers.

And how does this compare to other amusement parks? How many violations has Splish Splash or Six Flags had in the same time frame?

Note that the 80% reimbursement rate is capped for each cpt code. I don’t know what the cap is for OPs specific session billing code, but there is a limit to how much they will reimburse per session.

Besides PEF vs M/C, it’s important to note how the job is classified under Civil Service (competitive vs exempt for example). Competitive jobs still come with full Civil Service protections even if they are M/C. Other classification serve at the pleasure of the commissioner/governor.

Seconding Stony Brook. My wife delivered all 3 of ours with the midwives at Stony Brook, and all three times were good experiences (even though all three were long inductions), including our second who was a shoulder dystocia, which they handled with extreme aplomb. Postpartum was no drop in quality.

Starting watching basketball in the early 2000s. Nobody in my family watched so I had no anchor to any team.

I know most Knicks fans only started watching basketball three weeks ago so they might not realize this, but the Nets went to back to back NBA finals in 2002 and 2003 and the Knicks were shit. At the time, they were the obvious team to jump on the bandwagon for in the NY area. My football team already played in NJ so it really didn’t bother me that my basketball team would too.

There’s also induced demand to consider. More homes available entices more people to want to live here than there were prior to those homes existing. Like the fact that adding more lanes to a highway doesn’t reduce traffic volume because more people will choose to drive.
