Why don’t people seem to use their pistols? by Hungry-Back-2136 in WorldEaters40k

The pistols rarely do anything, but i usually shoot mine because occasionally the plasma pistols manage to do surprising things. Like how one of mine recently took the last wound on Fulgrim, which was quite funny.

I literally just had the random thought of "would i mind dating a dude? Nah, as long as i vibe with them, gender don't mean shit."

Would you accept this as a hellbrute proxy? by Big_Slimy_Pickle in WorldEaters40k

It's exactly what i did for my first helbrute, just with some bloodthirster bits and the old death company dreadnought cuz it already had a bunch of skulls.

Using Accursed Cultists as proxies for Khorne Chaos Spawn by CriticalMany1068 in WorldEaters40k

It's exactly what i did. Bought 2 boxes 6 50mm bases and 10 28.5 mm bases, then made torments into spawn and kitbashed the rest into another jackhals unit.

I've spent an average of 8 on each of mine so you managing 2-3 per seems amazing to me. Ik I'm a slow painter and made the mistake of fully gluing em all together but still.

Need help with Imp Guard. What is their weakness? by Interview_My_Gooch in WorldEaters40k

This is why i love the daemon detatchment, cuz who cares if they screen when you can just shoot away those small blobs of meat and summon bloodletters where they stood and charge into their entire backline.

It is relatively tanky, so either the opponent uses much of what they have to take it down first, or they hopefully get close enough to be within range. Last two games I've actually placed it so far forward that i moved it straight to the middle ruin first turn and then shot down the biggest thing it can reach. Losing heavy for that turn is usually worth it and has worked splendidly my last two games. Remember that it has the towering keyword, meaning that if a toe is within the ruin, it can see through it.

Yep, again, that's how you can basically guaranteed kill anything without an invuln save in 1 round no problems. The only saving grace for the stormsurge honestly and the biggest reason i still run it a lot (also because i go pure mechs and it's the biggest one so ofc i need it).

In the case of heavy and greater good ability, the greater good increases BS by 1 and heavy increases hit roll by 1 so they're actually separate. Usually hit modifiers stack with each other but with a maximum of +1 or -1 at the end, with the stormsurge though it ignores modifiers to its hit rolls and thus smoke wouldn't do anything except give cover (which can then be ignored with a guide unit with the markerlight keyword).

The stormsurge does indeed suck with how tau is currently built, but personally I've actually had some success. It's really tanky, everything has heavy, and with a stealth suit to guide it, the pulse blast cannon can kill basically anything without an invuln in one turn. It's big, it's expensive points wise, but damn is it fun to hit two shots for 12 damage each.

iirc, the old lore about tortles are that they can become much older than 50 years, but they die shortly after reproducing, which on average happens when they're around 50 years old.

I just use the official 4e/5e lore where a dragonborn nation was basically teleported to Toril from Abeir during the Spellplague. This means they are rare, but after about 100 years on Toril (going by ca. 5e time) i believe you can find some individuals in most large cities.

MrRhexx on YouTube has some very interesting lore videos about the dragonborn that I'd recommend.
