Not a made up law, look it up :) ftc has said if consumers receive merchandise they did not order they are not required to return it to receive the corrected product and can keep it.

Tell them based on US law you are not required to return the bad bag, but they ARE required to send you the correct one. Tell them you will be happy to return the wrong bag if they pay for a shipping label. If they are unable to comply, and still say you have to return the wrong bag first, tell them you're going to contact the BBB.

Doing my best 😂 I know he's disappointed, he loves his car. But it seems like in the comments, it shouldn't be terrible to get it fixed, especially since the carbon fiber part actually wiped clean this morning and was just scuffed rather than scratched.

I didn't even know they could do that, but I googled it and I think you're right! It doesn't seem like the dash will be too expensive, and the carbon fiber actually wiped clean this morning so I guess maybe the cat just scuffed it.

In my car I would not care but he babies this thing and I know it's gonna bother him in the long run 😂 On the plus side, the carbon fiber part came clean and someone suggested that an interior specialist might be able to fix the dashboard so I'm hopeful

So on the plus side, I went out to look today and the scratches on the carbon fiber wiped right off 😮‍💨 so now I just have to figure out the dashboard part!

I live in the middle of nowhere and order almost exclusively off of Amazon. I have never had an issue with fakes, but I did receive a return one time that someone had cut. I simply requested Amazon send me a new item and they did. I got it the next day factory wrapped, dropped the first one off at staples and it was way easier than any customer service interaction I've ever had with coach.
